the Parker business... it kind of went out of my head at the time, I was
not myself. You said something about a ritual of power, and that that path
was fraught with danger... can we talk about this some time? I'm at the
warehouse now, and will be for the forseeable future... drop by some time
(or come down from the chicken coop, if you're up there).]<<<<<

We - the Rhade - believe that killing a man or a woman gives you their
power. (Of course, this works best when you gaze into his dying eyes as
your knife finds his heart. The further away, and the more detached you
are, the less connection you have and the less you gain from his death.
Firearms are all but useless for the purpose, and even the crossbow is a
poor weapon)

To connect to your victim in a more... intimate way, most usually by
killing them during the sexual act, is another way to ensure a strong
connection. However, this is considered to be a dangerous path to walk:
some say because the power gained is tainted.

Others - I would include myself in their number - consider this an
attitude borne of distate and morality. However, even cynics such as
myself find such actions dangerously addictive, to the point where one
may forget the purpose and seek such killings for no reason than the
pleasure and power involved. Hence, I suppose, the moralistic distaste.
Such killings attract more than their share of hostility.

Further discussion is probably better not held by this imprecise and
restrictive medium. If you wish more detail, we should speak in person:
and probably in private, since I doubt some other members of this group
would be understanding of certain aspects of my past after seeing their
reaction to you.]<<<<<
