>>>>>[Of course he can, except when he's busy. Besides, we're all one,
big happy family and we read each other's mail all the time.

As for racist comments, I'm hardly the one you'd need to worry about.
That would be Fat Chance, the troll.

As for taking you on, I hardly think that will be necessary. You're not
likely to ever be a threat.

I'll be sure to tell Short Stuff you would like to meet her, though. I'm
sure she'll be so thrilled....

As for her team cutting out on her, she was more than capable of handling
herself when I left. Besides, the shots that Trideo Pirate uploaded, if
you were observant enough to notice them, indicated that she asked me to
perform a hot pick-up at the northeast corner. Of course, understanding
mil. and merc speak is beyond any runner who's not worked as a mercenary
or come from a military background.

And one last thing. The first group were Yaks. The second, down here in
Dallas-Ft. Worth were a Shiawase hit team. Yaks may hose down areas,
corps don't kill civilians unless no other option remains. It's bad for
buisness.]<<<<<

And about leaving a team member in: it doesn't happen. A real team
_doesn't_ do it. It's the whole damn team or nothing... Unless of course
you're just a bunch of runner wannabe's, in which case we can understand
it...]<<<<<

their weapons. But from what I've heard, the collateral damage would
have been much higher, as would have been the number of additional
fatalities.

And I don't know about the rest of the team(they're hardly "mine"), but
calling me a runner is inaccurate. I'm a soldier. And soldiers do what
they are told. Next time you operate with a special forces unit and they
tell you to leave and you don't, you'll be shot and killed unless you're
dead already. You're absolutely right, though. The team is everything.

When you are personally responsible for saving 200 lives while another
100 died in combat, then I'll listen to you with a little respect. Until
then.]<<<<<

>>>>>[(YAWN) Runners professional? Please. Mercenaries and soldiers
and corporate forces are professional. You go where your commander tells
you and do what they tell. If your employer shouts "Jump!" You shout
"How high!" while in the air. I've spent over 20 years as a mercenary
working for governments, corporations, oppressed peoples, and private
individuals. I follow a Code to the letter. I know what I am capable of
and what I'm not, and I am not afraid to tell someone that I can't do
what they are asking for.

I am a professional.

Gunny, many thanks. See you on the battlefield. (Tips her hat)]<<<<<

shadowrunners are somewhat caustic. We have all had our run-ins and

well. I'm sure we all appreciate your concern, though.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Tyeah! Okay chummers. You're "soldiers". That makes you
SOOOO much
more different from the rest of us. Newsflash: A fair chunk of the runner
population is somehow ex-military. And that includes us. What we did (I'm
not sure you "soldier" types understand this concept -- it means when you
actually _do_ something without waiting six and a half months to get it
cleared from some dumb-assed CEO who has NO idea whats going on) is kinda
private (we did the dirty stuff you haven't heard of. And never will), so
we're not about to tell you. But we will say this:

We were part of an insertian team. A bunch of us would go in, frag
over a facility, and take out the goodies. No big deal. Everyone does that
drek. But when your team is important, you don't go putting parts of it in
jeapordy. Nobody has the right to tell you to leave a comrade where he or
she is gonna get trashed. That would burn up the team, not to mention frag
the privacy concept over pretty well too. We've kept dustoff waiting for
more than thirty minutes in hostile airspace to get the whole team out. If
the pickup had been trashed, then we would have either fought our way to
safety, or died (personally, I put my bets on the former. You do NOT want
to see Jenna when she's pissed). Null persp. All for one, neh?]<<<<<
