Matrix Security: Solitaire and Moriarity designed the fraggin thing, so I'm
not exactly expert. HOwever, what I do know is that the cameras, sensors, door
locks, fences, etc are all isolated from the Matrix. Expensive, but it works.
Thus you have to get into the facility to hack the drone controls, sensors, etc
and by then you're already caught(in theory, anyway). The only exception to
this is the scheduling of deliveries and such, since they have to coincide with
purchasing, sales, marketing, etc. The only system that is totally isolated
is the security system, as I said, so all the other drek is easily accessable,
if you consider a glacier easily accessable. Also, the research systems are
individually isolated to limit problems and access to those working on a
project.

IC wise, the system is glacial. More expert ice than most Big 8 systems, and
lots of high rating nodes. The lowest was originally an Orange-6, but may
have changed since then. Chokepoints where you HAVE to reduce your load or
set off alerts(like droppin to a blue 2 suddenly) are the only exceptions. It
also makes use of RF networking specifically designed to allow telemetry
transmission but not complex program transmission, stoppin persona travel dead,
unless you deckers out there know a way around the problem. Lots of Black,
tar pit, and expert IC constructs. And I've heard rumors of new kinds of IC
based on Dante's killer code that fry you and your deck and anyone in the room,
and I suspect that ain't all.

Deckers are probably really nasty. Figure Fuchi hit team level inside the
facility, and they have some programs that they stole from Lone Star, like
persona activated Black IC programs and traces. But the biggest threat,
probably, is the hyperdeck, a brainchild of Solitaire. It's a dec7)n??~y???SQu]
=??
Fraggin line noise....

The hyperdeck is a way of uploadin persona modules into a CPU, along with
programs, and usin the CPU to absorb extra load in a system so it doesn't set
off alerts and still grantin the decker the power of about 10 MPCPs at once.
Only problem is that, while the only thing I can think of that could stop the
fraggin thing is MONICA, deckers can only run it for about 10 minutes before
either goin nuts or unconscious. Solitaire was already nuts, so she ran it
till she passed out, about 20 minutes. If you see somethin that looks REALLY
fraggin huge, jack the frag out.

Guards and Equipment: The security set-up is in several different levels, and
I'll describe the way the were when I was around.

Standard guards: armor jackets, standard security w/ pistols and a lot like
beat cops.
Advanced guards: Light sec armor, SMGs w/ smartlink goggles. Better trained,
still not great though.
Standard Mil troops: Lt. milspec armor, assult rifles. These folks guard the
armory, main security, and Black level labs.
RDF(Rapid Defense Forces): Special forces, security level. Well trained,
light to moderate cyber, all have smartlinks, even the magicians. Lowest level
where you will run into magicians. M-H security armor, various weaponry,
heavy ammo.
SRDF(Special RDF): Top level of the standard Security units. Vehicle trained
and mobilized. H security armor, heavy weaponry including some of the new
goddies after they get downgraded from maximum security and tested in the field
first. Moderate to heavy cyber, smartlinks. magicians common(min 1/8 norms).
Military Special Forces: They are nasty. they get most of the best toys,
including CVR-3 and CVR-7 power assisted milspec armor. They look like bugs,
but they can outrun and outshoot most anybody. Excellent training, many of
them are ex-runners or government/corp special forces when they join Maxim to
start with.
Org Quads: Broken down into units of 4. One physad, one magician, two norms
with max cyber allowed by nature, all of the best drek in the world is thier's
to play with. Even better training, usually lighter armed than even the
special forces, but they make up for it with training and having worked with
each other for years. These were the majority of units that hit NY and Berlin
in December.
Blackeagle units: This is what they were called before Nicole took control.
Trained, heavy magic, up there with the best in the world, if not THE best.
They use prototype cyber and gear and get trained in the use of Cyclones,
hybrid vehicle/power armor units, and Alpha's. If we get caught by these
guys, we're toast. And there are several of them on site.

We could run into volt weapons that do limited damage but lots of cyber fryin.
Ramjet rifles that shread all but the best armor. All kinds of new stuff that
I don't want to think of, especially if they pull out the stops out of the
labs.

Let's talk it over, folks. Diana, Roxey(if she shows), and I know the layout,
so we'll be leadin, if nobody complains. And if we go in anything but quiet,
we're toast.

Any questions?]<<<<<

Another question. Even if we get into quietly, how do we getting
_OUT_? When we have Herr Jackson, they will probably know we are
there. I hope we are not all to get trapped inside.]<<<<<
