Hello, ma'am. I have an intercept area. It appears that the best target
intercept area is here, over Greece. The destruction will cause the most
damage to Fuchi sattelites somewhere in that area. In addition, it will
allow a large margin of safety. The Wyvern's from Peregrine have already
begun moving toward that area slowly and will arrive in approximately 18
minutes.

"Good."

That's odd....

"What, John?"

Give me a minute, ma'am.........

"Well, John? What's going on?"

For a moment, it appeared as if there were multiple ghost images on the
look-down radar surveillance of several different commercial airliners.
The nearest ground radar is in Warsaw, and it's well out of range. And
the computer also registered what appeared to be several missile launches
from the S-K fleet in the Baltic, but then radar lost them. Thermal has
been unable to verify since radar lost contact. That was about 5 minutes
ago.

+++++Connection opened: Havana to HQ

Havana to HQ. A1 busy. Check.

Connection severed +++++

Well, now, that's also interesting. I just recieved a transmission from
Havana saying that the Azzies were busy in the area and they wanted us to
check it. I've also started getting reports from other facilities
worldwide that various corporate assets in the areas are getting
restless. The computers have reported very little unusual, but it seems
that all the 'hot' items I told you about earlier are active now, in one
way or another.

"So, it looks like someone's going to try and teach us a lesson or two.
Well, let's get ready for it. Is everything tied in?"

Ma'am, BRB has been ready since 6 hours after you ordered it made
available. Enter your personal code, push this red button, and Maxim as
well as a signifigant percentage of Maxim's enemies will suddenly cease
to exist. I do not recommend it, however, for obvious reasons.

"I won't do it unless the corporations give me little choice. If thier
vaunted personnel files and dossiers don't predict what I feel would
leave me with little choice, then that's their problem and fatal
mistake. However, I personally would not want to be the cause of that
much distruction. I'll avoid it if I possibly can."

I'm glad to hear that. But I'd say that various corporations are
attempting to distract us. From where, I'm not sure yet. I'm working on it.

"ETA to sattelite destruction?"

Currently about 15 minutes. And I'm ordering all facilities up to
maximum security status for the next hour. I need the access codeword to
do so, ma'am.

"Codeword Malachite Beta Omega Sigma Four."

+++++ Matching.....codeword matches. Source: Nicole Macha Velli,
P/CEO. Voiceprint matches. Awaiting DNA ID. +++++

Ma'am, if you'll put your hand here for a second. Thank you.

+++++ Scanning database..... DNA pattern matches Nicole Macha Velli.
Codeword tranmitting.....transmitted. Awaiting universal
response............. Response recieved. All facilities active. +++++

Ma'am, all facilities have been activated and moved to full combat status
as of now. They will remain at this status until ordered to stand down
or engaged. However, Matrix contact has not been severed, nor have
orbital assets been activated. That is the final level, from which there
is no return. That only occurs under BRB protocol.

"Very good. Keep me appraised. I'll be right back." ]<<<<<
