J: I was wondering how long it would take you to come bouncing to me?

F: I cannot raise Whirlwind to get any answers. I had a brief conversation with Doomsday
and he mentioned that some Yakuza thugs were asking about Shadowfox as well. His comment
was that he had a bad feeling about this.

J: Hold on, let me kick a search off for some other info. .... Pestilence's job sucks.
I have read more drek about weather patterns than I ever wanted to. Something isn't right
though. Haven't put my finger on it. And Doomsday's comment isn't exactly a newsflash.
He has bad feelings about just waking up in the morning.

F: Now, now. I have learned to trust his comments when he says them in certain contexts.
At any rate, the Yakuza asking for Shadowfox and dropping riddles about midnight are not
positive news on any occasion.

J: You think? ... Bonus round! Search came back. It would appear that an unknown
mercenary force attacked Legion in Australia this morning. MercNet is speculating that it
is the same disaster that has been following Legion for the past year. Coincidence?

F: Unlikely. I doubt the people that would be interested in Shadowfox would be overly
concerned about Legion in particular -- perhaps just interested in a few members and
former members. Timing might have just been fortuitous on their part.

J: So what does the riddle mean?

F: The Yakuza captured Midnight most likely.

J: I was afraid you would say that.

F: Keep trying to find Whirlwind. I guess I have a trip to prepare for.

J: Fate or Destiny?

F: I not much for philosophical questions these days. The true questions that are being
asked are:1) Is Shadowfox still alive? 2) If he is still alive, does he have enough of a
soul to care about a former running partner named Midnight? Apparently,
they, if it is the Yakuza, are willing to put spend some resources to put
an innocent on the line to find out the answer. I just wish I knew what the
answers should be.

J: FireWraith and I are ready to leave. Just say the word.

F: Thanks, but I need you to figure out why Pestilence suddenly developed a
hobby of weather-watching.

J: Midnight is my friend. I don't want to sit idle if he is in trouble --
and neither will Wraith.

F: Acknowledged -- but you still have your orders. I actually have a decker
who owes me one and figure it is about time to collect on it. Which I guess
means I know at least part of what I'm going to do about this all. I better
get going.

J: Wait a second, wasn't Lurch with Midnight as well? We should try to
raise him?

F: Lurch doesn't exactly check s-land or answer phones.

J: Yes, but he is likely to respond in some meaningful manner to FireWraith.

F: You guys need the magical protection.

J: Yeah, well if you can think of a better way to get in touch with Lurch
and answers out of him, I'm listening ....

F: You are jeopardizing Deuce's mission.

J: I've seen his expense account. He can hire a mage for a few days.

F: I promised you both to Deuce.

J: Then I'll just pretend that I have no idea on where she has disappeared
to this time. Shouldn't be too hard. She likes avoiding War and Minister.

F: I didn't _hear_ that.

J: And oddly, I didn't say it. Just don't forget that you have friends
willing to help out if you need it. ]<<<<<
