SYSNOTE: THE FOLLOWING IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE
>>>>>[ Greetings, Frau Morgan! Although the Shadowcommunity is hardly one
where one typically forms personal attachments, I recall someone mentioning
the date of your birth during this year past. As I naturally view such
occasions with considerable import, and as I feared my present affairs would
cause me to forget, I elected to fabricate this rather small program to post
to you wishes for a happy birthday.

"There is a feeling of Eternity in youth, which makes us amends for everything.
to be young is to be as one of the Immortal Gods."
-- Willaim Hazlitt, "The Feeling of Immortality in Youth"

There are those, however, who elect not to recognize their date of birth,
seeing it rather as a milestone along the road of Life leading eventually to
Oblivion, but age is more than that. You are yet quite young, so take heart,
and see not advancing years as a reminder of human mortality, but rather steps
towards Enlightenment.

"For age is opportunity no less
Than youth itself, though in another dress,
And as the evening twilight fades away
The sky is filled with stars, invisible by day."
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfello, "Morituri Salutamus"

Glueckliches Geburtstag, Wendy Morgan. May Divine Providence shine down upon
you this day and upon the birth of your child.

( Sincerest apologies, gnaedige Dame, should this message arrive late)

>>>>>[ Well, there's a couple people who need to be responded to. Don'tcha
just hate it when mail gets backed-up like this?

DeDannan -- it's like this. Doom is being held by Aztechnology /for/ the
Corporate Court. He's being held over for trial on charges of data espionage.
Apparently, they've got evidence he was in their system. A load of drek, if
you tell me . . . Doom wouldn't get caught even if he did go into their
stinking system. Right now, his friends are gathering evidence and following
leads so that they can exhonerate him.

One more thing: Going in there and extracting him is a no go. There would be
a few "unpleasant ramifications" if that were to happen, due to Doom's
connections.

Powerhouse -- glad you're back! I hope your mission went well -- from what
you've said, it seems to have. I can arrange a meeting with the Countess
for probably any time that's convenient with you. Just get back to me.

When you say, where is Doom, do you mean Doctor Doom or Doomsday? The
distinction is an important one. ]<<<<<
