our on the scene reporter: Maxwell Clarke"
"Thanks Lisa. Well, no new information on the blast as of yet, except
for Maxim corporate reps catagorically denying that the blast was
internally triggered. So in leiu of further news, we shall examine the
social aspect of this tragic accident. We have with us now Regina
White, head of the Seattle chapter of the Citizen's Safety Congress.
Welcome to the Midday News Ms. White."
"Good afternoon Max."
"Before we start talking, could you tell us a little bit about the
Citizens Safety Congress?"
"Well, the CSC is an umbrella organization for a number of citizen's
rights groups, specifically dealing with corporate relations, and
corporate misdeamenors. We were founded in the 00's when corporations
were awarded extra-territoriality in the continental americas. We have
since branched out to other continents as the corporations have
increased their power."
"So what exactly does the CSC have to do with the Seattle blast?"
"First of all let me say that we are a completely
peaceful organization. We have been accused of violence in the past,
but that was entirely corporate posturing. Our problem is that
military equipment was being kept in the Seattle 'plex, _explosives_
were being kept in the 'plex, and that the blast took lives of UCAS
citizens."
"Thats most definitely understandable. But since we have limited time,
can I ask you what the CSC is going to be doing in the next few days?"
"We don't like to say too much, because corporations have a funny
habit of making our demonstrations and other peaceful activities
impossible, but I can tell you that we are planning a few
demonstrations and marches on and around companies that Maxim Arms has
contracts with. Possible legal action against Maxim. Maybe sueing them
because their security allowed the bomb to be placed. Everything that
the people need and want--"
"I'm sorry, but I'll have to cut you off there, as we're running out
