>>>>>[I am sorry Midnight. Your message arrived after Paraquat died. I
have intercepted Marathon's part of this post, hopefully he will not see
it. As far as the Police are concerned Paraquat died in an accident.
That is the story as it shall be. It will remain that way. Many things
plagued Paraquat over the last few days, I assume this is why he behaved
as he did towards others. He was searching perhaps for an easy way out
where at least he could die with some little honour, whatever the means.
Quinn's challenge was a ray of hope to him, and that has been denied.
He would have preferred to have died fighting for a mistaken cause than
to have gone any other way. It is perhaps fitting he died driving the
one thing in life he loved above all else.

His family believe it to be an accident. I would prefer that they
continued with that belief.

He asked that I pass on something to you: Greater love hath no man than
this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

For the peace you gave him, and the valiant attempt you made to save him
from his insanity, I offer you my respect, and my thanks. I did not
know how much you had done until I read his notes. Midnight, I can
never repay this debt, except with my life. You attempted to help a
stranger who most likely showed no thanks for your sacrifice and
efforts. I am yours, for Paraquat, for Marathon and for his sister. It
is all I have to give.]<<<<<
