>>>>>[ Apart from a lot of annoying phone calls, and I wanted to keep
an eye on something else that I was working on, I apologize (well sort
of) for the delay.

Here's the rest of the information that I can pass along at this time.

It's about damn time. The door finally opened. Midnight came
marching on out. His urban attire looks like it is splattered with a
liquid. Probably blood. He his holding loosely a gun, but not like
he is expecting to use it immediately. More like he is waiting for it
to cool off enough to put back in its holster. His face is pretty
unreadable as he comes out. It does look like he sweated a decent bit
though. He sees the two drones in the living room and scowls. He
walks into the kitchen and pours himself a cup of soykaf. He sips it
and walks back into the living room. Carefully he sits down.

The backroom door opens again, as Easy, Quinn, Griffyn, and lastly,
Geiger come out. Like Midnight, they to are sweaty. Easy's face is a
picture of serenity. Quinn looks like she is enjoying some private
joke. And Griffyn looks like he cannot figure out if he wants to be
angry or not. Geiger seems bored and talks into his head set, "Status
report, people. Doc, you are needed inside the interrogation room."

A young man walks in. He, too is clean cut, blonde and dressed as an
orderly would dress. Except his are all black instead of green or
white. He smiles as he glances over the room, and the sight of
people's attitudes does nothing to diminish his smile. He offers a
nicostick to everyone as he passes them, but reminds them to smoke
outside if they choose to take up on his offer. Without any
hesitation he enters the room and shuts the door.

Doomsday walks into the room. Geiger nods to him. Doomsday pours
himself a cup of soykaf and walks back out of the room. Geiger waits
for a nod from Midnight and then wanders off after Doomsday.

Midnight is silent for a long time. Finally, he quietly says, "What
gaps do you need me to fill in? Keep in mind, the more information
you ask for, the more you dig yourself to a point to where you will be
involved in my mess whether you like it or not."

Griffyn starts to speak, closes his mouth, looks thoughtful for a
couple of seconds and starts again. "Well, based on what I've heard
so far, I've not question about where I belong. I will help you
Midnight, but don't tell me any more yet. I've made a promise to find
Colleen, and I've got to finish that first. I've put too much time
and energy into that quest to leave it by the wayside at this point.
Knowing that the Wanderer is on the opposing side is just about all of
the information I need for the moment."

"Wait. I lied. One more question. I know this may be painful,
Midnight, and believe me, I'm not trying to dredge up any wounds, but
are Blitzkrieg and Sprinkler alive or dead? The whole thing has been
tiptoed around since we got here."

Midnight says quietly, "The Wanderer isn't on any side. He blatantly
broke orders when he followed another instead of killing me. Since he
didn't kill me, I am going to cut him some slack. Besides, he did
have his uses. Again, think about it. The wraith caused the
massacres to happen. He was a pawn in both cases. Revenge is nice,
but you won't bring back the dead with it.

"Let me ask you this --" He stops for something and sighs. "Geiger,
you know the drill. Everyone if you would please hide yourself in the
other bedroom. Leave the door open a crack so you can hear when it is
over. We have a visitor."

What the hell?!? Fucking phone is going to die in a few fragging
minutes. *grrr* ]<<<<<
