Sorry 'bout storming out like that guys. I had to think, figure out what to say
. . . I decided to come clean. Its hard to do --- I'm afraid I'm to blame for
this . . . you'll see what I mean.
You know the expression "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Well that,
unfortunately applies to me. Remember, a few decades back, there was this gang
called The Femme Fatales. Real slick hot babes who specialized in bodyguard and
"escort" and Seduction-Assasination, did a little shadowwork on the side. Well,
my mom is The LYNx --- YES THE LYNx (notice the resemblence The LYNx -> KHANx)
-- the founder of the gang. Apparently she was bodyguarding an street operator
named Ace. They fell in love, mom got pregnant. Marriage was scheduled. Acer
got leaked. Mom decided to have the baby anyways. She retired from shadowork,
took her money bought a small used cyberware store. She decided to go full
ligit, be the totally norm middle-class mom. I was born 7 months later.
She decided I was going to grow up and be a sarariman. Live a normal life. But
the genes were against her -- my talent was in shadowwork. So she pulled some
strings and got me a full recruitment in Orbital Intelligence. I was doing very
well until they framed me. I went dirtside. The rest you guys know.
