I think that when she moved off system, the delay became too great
and she pulled back to finish solidifying Seattle first. NOTE:
there are MANY guards guarding all of the network gates and they are
checking everyone's credentials, looking for RUFUS. Don't push them
or you will be dead. If they ask who you are, just flash your ID and
be on your way, don't stare, don't delay, and don't mess with
