Exactly what Jeffrey said. Cyberzomibies DO allow negative essense, which
allows you to cram enough cyberware to replace everything but the brain and
the brain stem. But there are some nasty side affects, which Jeffrey
listed above.
ALSO to be noted is that riggers have a much harder time with cybermancy.
As was noted, cyberzombies sometimes "get lost in the details" and go
"spacey." This can happen nearly anytime, even in the middle of an intense
firefight.
Riggers, since they trade their normal sensations for that of their rigged
vehicles, are even more prone to this sort of experience. So much more
detail to get lost in. (as per Rigger 2)
Also, riggers generally don't *need* as much cyberware as street samurai
do; their big needs are a Vehicle Control Rig and a datajack. Anything
else is bonus, even something like a cranial remote control deck (from
Rigger2).
Anyway, here's some possible solutions.
He is a cyberzombie, but he's also controlled by someone behind his or
behind BigDaddy's back. Probably a big corp like Ares, Fuchi, Aztechnology
or Saeder-Krupp.
He's had as much cyber as can be installed without falling below Zero
Essence. A fair amount could be alpha grade cyberware, which would allow
more stuff to be installed.
He's either quad- or paraplegic and essentially "lives" through his various
drones and other remotely rigged vehicles. (an interesting concept I may
try out actually...can you imagine a rigged electric wheelchair?)
You could probably mix up those second two ideas also, for a reasonable
affect.
But I would suggest avoiding cybermancy; sure it allows you to cram obscene
amount of cyberware into what was once a body, but the side-affects are
downright nasty. Personally, I see them more as a GM toy than as a valid
template for a PC.
If you can get a hold of a copy of Cybertechnology, even just to skim over
the cybermancy section briefly, I'd strongly suggest it. While the new
toys are pretty cool, it's the modified cybertech rules that make it worth
the money thinks I.
