DuBois "filed harassment suit against employers"
Files have appeared which claim to reveal that Cinnamon DuBois, the
kidnapped and still-missing star of "Manhatten Blues", had filed a suit
against Lanniford Productions.
The case alleges that at a staff party, the head of Domestic
Entertainment had attempted to seduce her, then when his advances were
refused he said "I could write you out of the script in a second, think
again." The documents surfaced when the due date for a pre-trial hearing
passed. Mr Beaumont angrily denied all charges, calling the documents
"trumped-up fabrications for sale, cashing in on the distress of all Ms
DuBois' friends and her loyal fans".
Meanwhile, the fate of 27-year-old Ms DuBois remains unknown: no ransom
demands have been received, despite the passage of nearly three weeks
since her seizure near her Bellevue apartment. The Proxie Price Fan
Club has amassed a "reward fund" totalling nearly twenty thousand nuyen,
payable to whoever provides information leading to her rescue, though as
yet there have been no serious claimants.
