>>>>>[Hey Nightfox!! Remember that old sci-fi flat where they talked about
speaking on a uncoded channel? Think about the forest on occasion, instead
of lodging your nose firmly in the crotch of a tree.

Star Fleet Regulation 26-A: When commmunications are being monitored during
battle...

No uncoded transmissions on an open channel.

Of *course* you can't use a combat spell through ritual magic, but if I cared
enough to outline the four or five (at least) magic groups working on the
various manipulations to do the same thing, I'd be wasting the bandwidth.
I'm merely illustrating to everyone the alternatives to previously
concieved solutions. Thought fuel.

As for nukes; they can still be found, though not so easily as perhaps in the
late 20th century. But who ever said we were going to *launch* it at them?
You're so silly, Nightfox. Mother Nature is going to able to handle a lot
more than we can dish out, and all we need to worry about is her revoking
our tenancy before we're ready to move out. Personally, I suggest explosives,
and lots of them. Anyone interested should contact me: I'm buying.

What I want to know is whether this island of theirs is part of a chain, or if
it is man-made. That's what'll make a difference in the methods used.

Besides, Nightie old girl (you don't mind if I call you Nightie, do you?
Good.) if the power plant on the Intrepid is anything like the original
refit in form, then it has a redundant cooling system powered by good,
old-fashioned gravity. When there is a loss in power, it cuts in. Period.
Unless you want to personally invest in some spirits/elementals to hold
the water up, and you think they can get by Major Domo's security.]<<<<<
