infection. As he noted in his last post he was observing the Envirotech
Waste Recyling and Treatment Facility, unfortunately at this time I was enagaged
in summoning a force 5 elemental, an excercise I'm sure the mages will
understand is most time consuming and you cannot have your attention waver for a
moment.
When I did receive the message I travelled over there astrally with Sean
accompanying myself. Listening in to people's conversations I understood that
a series of explosions took place, possibly from the build up of a gas of
some sort. The last explosion resulted in the containment facility of the
toxic waste disposal unit being cracked and the resultant fumes from the fire
were highly toxic in nature. Nightshade's proximity to the fire meant that
he never had a chance to escape before being subject to the fumes.
I found him face down in an alley a couple of blocks away with a number of
sqautters about to take whatever Nightshade had left on him, fortunately the
elemental I had just summoned was most perfect for the task and protected
Nightshade's body until I was able to travel there in person myself. Not being
a toxic specialist myself we had to enlist the aid of one of Sean's associates
a Miss Nightingale, or at least I believe that is what she is known as.
Her healing magics are most fortunately of the more powerful type and she had
soon cleansed Nightshade of the substances infecting his body. He now sleeps
peacefully recovering from his ordeal. I did however have chance to speak
briefly with him until sleep forced his eyes to close. He claimed to have
seen someone, a woman he claimed, at the site just moments before the explosion,
he said he recognised her but alas he fell asleep before he could reveal
anymore.
What this does confirm however is that the seemingly random accidents happening
over the world are not random, what is puzling however is the occurence of
a new string of accidents, this time in Kiev. A small plane crash resulted
there when a plane was forced to leave the runway to make way for the ballistic.
On leaving the runway it's brakes failed and it crashed into a small terminal
killing 23 people. While this may not be associated at all it is the second
'accident' to have occured in Kiev within the last few days. What makes it
even more confusing though is it happened only 1/2 hour before the explosion
at Envirotech. ]<<<<<
