>>>>>[Folks, it was not a good night out and about. The GD cops were
being a hell of a lot more careful than ususal, thanks to my daughter
advertising that I was going to be out and about!

Sorry, Buzz. No luck on Drake. I'm still trying to find where he's
living these days to leave him one of my little fletched presents with
his name engraved on it. I do have about 6 more. Besides, after calling
in a few favors, I;ve got a few ideas on what they dropped in his body
after Diana dropped the IP HQ in NY on him. And even if I didn't...all
those scales... No thank you!

But I did run accross some interesting things this evening, and you folks
might want to know about them. I was wandering through Tacoma tonight
and came accross some gangers having it out with another gang. The first
was your standard thriller gang, but the second was the fraggin Veirtes
Reich, from the Rhine-Rhur Megaplex! Some sick fragger imported some of
the least pleasant skags from Germany into Seattle to do thier dirty work
for them. How do I know this, you ask? Well, I've spent a bit of time
in the German state over the years.

And naturally, der Reich were whompin some serious hoop. Assult rifles
vs. light pistols and holdouts.... Take a wild guess who won that one?
Well, as der Reich was finishing with the gangers, Lone Star shows up and
they begin to duke it out. It was really fragged up, though, because the
cops had der Reich outnumbered and they were retreating for a while
until they turned around, fired on the cops, and the drek hit the fan. 2
of the Reichers were killed, or nearly so, and 4 of the cops.

From my old days as an arms dealer and runner, I recognized the weapons
and ammo. API ammo from one of S-K's premier assult rifles. The cops
were loaded with standard and SMGs. They were lucky they didn't get
shredded.

But the thing that is still fraggin my head even now is the figure I saw
standing in the doorway not too far away. Cloaked, nearly skeletal
hands, no legs I could see, but it could have been levitating(why, I'm
not sure), and no face within the hood of the cloak. Not at all
pleasant. And it seemed to be enjoying the violence. I just left it
when it literally vanished. Magic is not my area of expertise, and I did
NOT want to frag with some mage or spirt or something tonight.

But it's so wonderful to be feeling at least somewhat human again...]<<<<<
