>From the view offered by the black and white camera angle, the cafe is
filled with the afternoon's usual crowd. Suits lounging around on their
coffee breaks, talking about important business matters, mergers,
acquisitions, who's doing who in the copy room. Your standard mix of
humans and elves......no borish Orks, Trolls or Dwarves allowed in
*here*.
Pan camera angle towards the door.
Camillla McPhee, Anchorwoman of Vid Seven and Spokeswoman for the
Seattle branch of PETA enters the cafe. Her presence immediately
recognized by half the bar, the Matre 'd rushes over and proceeds to
seat her and her guest.
The microphone hidden in the small flower arrangement pic up the voices
nice and loud.
'Where _is_ he?' she asks, her voice coming through perfectly in synch
with the camera view.
'Relax Cam...it's only noon....give him a few minutes.'
'I don't like it...' she says in a worried voice. 'I don't like it one
bit.'
'Look, don't worry. Just smile, be yourself. When he shows, ask him
what he's found. Just do as they say.'
'What if he suspects something? What if he's dangerous??' Her voice
was taking on a near frantic pitch, clear evidence that the hard-nosed
reporter routine shown on the vid was a complete act of crud.
'Don't worry. Those guys are faster than anything. They'll have him
pinned to the table before before he even _think_ of pulling out a gun.'
The camera angle changes, panning past the enterance and over to the
bar......where three large gentlemen in suits were engaging in idle
conversation......and doing a poor job and pretending not to case the
joint.
'It'll be over soon Cam....trust me. We don't know this guy and we
don't owe him anything. In a few minutes he'll be their problem, and in
an hour we'll be back at the station and this'll all be behind us.'
