>>>>>[ As usual, following Midnight seems to be a great way to learn
of interesting tidbits. He should feel honored by how much I watch
him. He's my idol. NOT!

+++++ begin feed
Seedy light filters through the stained glassed window. The echoes
of a lone man's steps ring out against the worn stone floor of this
church. The pews are in desperate need of sanding and a fresh coat
of paint. The lighting, save that which is on the cross, is
nonexistent. The man stops to say a brief prayer before the steps
leading to the altar. The man, a handsome man in his late 20s, is a
business man based on the cut of his well-tailored suit. With his
looks, he easily could be a model, but something about this man says
that he is not a model.

He walks up the stairs that are by the side of the altar, to head to
the back office of the church. The railing is suffering from massive
paint-peeling. An elderly man calls up from below the stairs, "May I
help you, sir?"

"Yes, kind father. I was looking for Father Jameson to ask him if he
could help me find one of my relatives."

The elderly man starts to answer but is interrupted by the arrival of
a pretty, young lady wearing a skirt to accentuate her only
remarkable feature -- her legs. The man listens briefly to what she
says and looks surprised for a second. He then turns to the man and
says, "My secretary just had a death in her family. I must arrange
some of the details. If you would be so kind as to wait in the
chapel, I will be with you in about fifteen minutes."

The priest, with his arm around the young lady to, among other
things, comfort her walks up the stairs. She stares at the business
man for a brief moment as she goes up the stairs. The man watches
this whole procession and shakes his head. When they are out of
range he softly says, "Too bad she was faking it."

A soft, sarcastic voice calls out from the shadows replies, "Of
course, Midnight. Did you really expect her to come up with a good
idea? He's the brains of the operation after all."

The newcomer moves into the dim light. He has no hair on his head.
He is wearing mirror shades and a black baseball hat turned
backwards. The shades do not hide the pale green glow on his face
given off by his cybernetic "bug" eyes. He wears a long duster and
you can barely make out jeans underneath. He is wearing combat boots
as well, and it looks like his duster may be hiding some other
surprises as well.

"So I have finally found you, War. I expected you to be around one
of these places."

"It took you long enough. I expected this visit a week ago. Shall
we go into the chapel?"

"Yes." War walks in to the chapel. He keeps walking without turning
back. He goes to the middle of the chapel and sits on the pew. He
leaves enough room for Midnight to sit next to him. Midnight
following, sits next to him. Midnight after waiting to see if War was
going to say anything says, "Are we on the same side or opposing
sides?"

War shrugs and says, "We will both know shortly I guess. At high
darkness, Death is planning a full hit on a place to try to gain his
revenge. He may succeed, he may not. Time will only tell that."

Midnight calmly inquires, "So?"

War continues, "His objective is a man that calls himself Sentinel."

Midnight responds slightly surprised, "I thought that man was in
Germany."

War smirks and responds, "Jester really has your two amateur deckers
outclassed. You should have brought Sprinkler to give yourself at
least somewhat a chance. "

Midnight asks, "Does this involve Nightmare?"

War says, "Rescuing Nightmare, if he is there, is a secondary
objective. But Death will level the place to get his revenge."

Midnight nods and inquires softly, "So why tell me?"

War says equally quiet, "Because Pestilence and I figure that it
would be a grievous lost if some missing people were killed from
Death's anger at the loss of his friend. You have two hours to get
your team together. This datapad has the address. Unfortunately,
Pestilence didn't put the blueprints for the place on the datapad."
War hands over a datapad that was in one of his inner pockets of the
duster. Midnight looks at the datapad briefly, and then turns it on.

Midnight says as he scans it, "You could have sent this many ways to
get to me earlier."

War nonchalantly replies, "To many complications if I had done it
that way. You have one hour and fifty-eight minutes and thirteen
seconds. I recommend you get moving, sir."

Midnight gets up and says, "Will we be on enemies when we go there?"

War says calmly as he gets up to walk away, "Only if you get in our
way. See you in the zone." ]<<<<<
