becauseof the food, drink, and company either! Yike! Let's see, where to begin...
Well, Slash and Roxey were the doorpersons. Harlequin and Gossymer were really
handling security, but Slash was there to meet and greet everyone who came in.
Let's see, there was AJ, Slash, Nex, Roxey and her ally, MaxiMillion, Valentine
and Little Dragon, Harlequin, She is Hard to Catch(much easier to say SHC-Sorry
my dear), Sabre, Styx, Lucinda Tairngire, Mirage, Journey, Streetwolf, a couple
of actors Afrique Wylde and Lance Sylvera(a ROYAL flirt! Loa protect us!),
Buzz and the Motley Crew made a token appearance, and a couple of folks I
hadn't seen before. Nex and Mirage came in with Streetwolf and Lady Siam(man,
she was way too Purrrrrfect for my tastes). A couple of new people wandered in
and out...um, Saeger and Whiskers and Captain Midnight and Kierkagard. And
Raven even made an appearance later on, just in time for the fun...well, more
on that later.
AJ did a really nice job. This could not have been cheap considering the anoung(Gods, I
hate turtles!) amount of food eaten and drink consumed. Nex brought
enough Guiness, Harps, Jameson, Crested 10, and Irish mist that he and his pals
had to make two trips to the pickup! And it was all gone after the first two
hours. But the food was fantastic. All kinds from Salish to Creole to Japaneseto Aztlan
to good old fashioned stuffers. And most of it was real too, not
mycoprotein. I was most impressed. Too bad Dad(AJ) had to go out in the middleof the
party to replenish the alcohol supply-those of you with world class
hangovers today deserve what you got! You know who you are!!!! And if you
drank all that without a toxin filter or blood filtration, you DEFINATELY
deserve what you are feeling right about now.
When Wizard came in with Collussus(damn that man looks like an Amerindian-If I
didn't know better, I'd have said that he was a wimp), Slash freaked. The two
of them slapped each other silly, which was hard on Slash as Wizard is an Ork.
It looked like the two of them had known each other for years...It turned out
that they are brothers. Fraggin family reunion... And Valentine really hit it
off with Journey. They seemed to have found a common ground in their
conversation when they trusted each other enough to start talking about history.Don't ask
me, I have no clue what they were talking about, but they seemed
deeply involved in a conversation about the 1970's and 1810's. Strange, but it
ain't my area of interest, if you know what I mean. Nex and Little Dragon also
kind of hit it off and were wrestling outside. I made 50 nuyen on side betting
against Nex. The GD 12 year old kid actually beat Nex-however, Nex wanted a
rematch and won that one when he used his cyberarm to lift Little Dragon clear
of the ground. Oh well, I lost 100 nuyen on that bet...Nothing ventured, h
nothing gained. Mirage and a small select group of people including Harlequin,
Dad, Raven, and me drank a single bottle of brandy. Gods, it was the smoothest
and most delicious brandy I had ever drank! But I had the distinct impression
that it was also the most EXPENSIVE brandy I had ever drank, and may ever drink.
Does anybody know what the drek is between Dragon and Nex? Those two were like
brothers and they were drekkin near at each other's throats once last night.
After a rather vocal argument that Nex wouldn't talk about, Dragon and crew
left! What's the bad blood here? And Nex wouldn't even MEET Roxey's eyes when
he came in. After that argument about the Ancients at the race, I can
understand her being mad, and she GLARED at him, but you would have figured thathe would
have done the same thing. And he just didn't even look at her! And
AJ and Raven hit it off something feirce. Seems that Dad's Mil Tech friends
delivered the goods on time and Raven was most pleased. They talked for a good
half hour about the old days-Last Spring! Yike!
Now, there were some interesting things that happened between Roxey, Lady Siam,
and Nex last night, but I wouldn't DARE to impinge upon Nex's domain and tell
you all about them. But as I suspect Nex and Roxey are making...uh, up, I
doubt you will see this till tomorrow.
Well, I was contracted to tell you about some of the banal stuff, so I'll pass
