>>>>>[ Hey Johnson, stop stealing my lines -- "There are many fates
worse
than death, and, I can do all of them." If that were the truth, then you
wouldn't have had a problem with how Gweedo conducted biz in the first
place!

But for me, that line is the chip truth. Mess with me, and death will be
the least of your worries. Ain't that right, prey? ]<<<<<

prepare yourself for the end. ]<<<<<
-- Midnight <03:52:38/03-23-58>

>>>>>[ I'm always ready for dying. It's part of the game. You live, you
die, and if you are real unfortunate, I'll help you along. You are part of
the game, too, Midnight, and soon it will be checkmate, because I, Famine,
and War will soon be reunited with Pestilence.

You are running scared now. I can see your blood dripping on the cement
already. You are barely keeping ahead of me. But soon, it won't matter.
What's the matter? A cat got your tongue? Or maybe its the Wanderer that
you are worried about.

The truer question, dear _chummer_, is not when you will die, but by whose
hands it will be. I already know, it won't be pleasant if its me.

But, yes, Midnight, I'm prepared for death. It will be the welcoming home
an old lover for dinner.

I wonder though, what will they put on your tombstone. Probably something
along the lines of "Midnight -- a truer friend there could not be, always
sacrificing friends to stay free." ]<<<<<

old-timey 1990's flick called Hackers. As for me doing business with
Gweedo, why don't you mind your own, hoop-fragger. All I need now is
some other hot shot runner trying to mess with me and how I do business.
I'll tell you now, you wouldn't be the first to be pushing up daisies
because of me, so don't get testy. You wanna find out just what happens
to idiots, keep on talkin.]<<<<<

he is one who has coined that phrase. Hate to break it to Johnson, but
that phrase has been around for a lot longer than some "flick."

I believe a truer statement would be that Death has much bigger fish to
fry, and isn't concerned about you, Johnson. He merely, and accurately I
might add, pointed out that a) your line isn't original, and b) that it is
highly ironic considering your earlier blast at those other two runners.

And if you are really _good_ enough to carry out your threats to Death,
then I welcome you to come after us. It would spice up my life. ]<<<<<

up.

Not that you should be one to be judgemental. But, yes, normally I
wouldn't consider grand theft to be on my list of preferred occupations. It
lacks the minimum moral deniablility I'm used to. Unfortunately I don't
see the requests for my specialties overloading my allocation. And there
is still the matter of getting some certification. Which, if conditions
are similar here as HK, then it will be a matter of even more credit
to...lubricate matters.

How about using those vast data resources you claim to be a master of to
hunt up a decent job?]<<<<<

Looks like I finally have enough to cover getting my "baby" sent over
here. I trust you've been keeping her clean and running her gently every
few days to keep her in good shape.

And so I don't forget, Selene and I had some body-work done to go with
some new IDs so we could start over here. Her "make-over" was pretty
radical and it took me a while to get used to it, but it works. So, just
in case we ever decide to surprise you and show up at Mecca some night,
these are the people you're looking for. And, as if it needed to be said,
it would be good for your usual employers to never see them, even though
we never had problems with their group since...well since then.
