I met Ronin in a run down blue-collar type cafe in the dock area of
downtown. I didn't see him at first, just a couple of trolls. I kinda acted
nonchalant, you know, trying not to look scared when he stepped out from
behind them, handed a credstick to one of them and they left. What a relief!
We walked around, and this is the story he told me. I checked astrally and
I'm sure he was telling the truth. What do you think?
He was in Chicago, because he got forced into a run on the city to find an
individual believed to have taken refuge there. He was supposed to kill said
individual. I don't really blame him though, 'cause he said the guy was a
Vampire. Most of his companions were slain, and he was injured, but they
eventually took the vamp down. He staggered away to hide and recover. His
friends left him there, can you believe? He wandered a little, and was
found by some sort of free spirit. It proceeded to kick him out of his body
and possess him. He was left in the astral inside the wall. He has been
trying to catch his body for several weeks now; he only recently got out of
the zone.
When he did catch up, the spirit told him to grow up, that he can't come
back in just
yet because the spirit has work to do, and needs the body to do it in. It
turns out that I was actually talking to the spirit! The spirit says he is a
free ally who is currently
involved in messing up the plans of some Roach shamans who managed to escape
the zone.
I went on a run with the guy I thought was Ronin to retrieve some ashes. I
guess the Roach shaman was after the ashes too, but we got them first. When
I looked astrally, I saw Ronin's form hovering nearby, and he said the
spirit was telling the truth.
He hasn't said what he wants yet, or how exactly the spirit plans to stop
the Roach shamans, or even who the free spirit ally guy is. But I know that
I want to help Ronin get his body back, and if it means helping the spirit,
I will. But I wanted your advice on this, you are a lot more experienced
than I am. Thanks.]<<<<<
