>>>>>[ Life in the incredibly fast lane. If you have it, you don't
want it. If you don't have it, you envy it. Jester has a frightening
point: Religion is just made up of people who can spout divine sounding
sentences at the right place and time. It makes you wonder if anyone
truly knows the answers.

Geiger, of course, responded at the time, that Jester should tell that
to Midnight at some point. I think Doc summed up my thoughts on it
rather well: "And who would be able to follow the conversation, Geiger,
if Jester did that?"

Anyway, my second overdue addition to the logs (which has little to do
with any of what I just said):

+++++ include Geiger's second meeting transmission
[I decide to strip the physical image of this one out. They just sat
around a table and did nothing. Rather sad actually. This was an
aftermath discussion between Gunner (Gu), Geiger (G), and Death (D).]

Gu: Well, gentlemen. Here is your payment for a job well done. Since
my family was rescued and among the living, I've included a small bonus
for both of you. Death, you earned an additional bonus for acquiring
the chop shop operations from McLaughlin.

G: You should have saved the bonus to try to pay off the Legion
instead.

Gu: That isn't your concern, Geiger.

D: Especially since the Legion's job isn't completely done here.

G: I'm not sure I want to know.

Gu: Probably wiser that way. Unless there is anything else, gentlemen,
then your business is done here.

D: Very well.

G: Actually, Death could you stay for a little while? I have something
I've been meaning to discuss with you. Otherwise, I agree. Until next
time, Gunner.

Gu: So be it. Good night and thank you very much for your help these
past few weeks.

[Gunner left the premises at this point.]

D: _Is_ there something we need to talk about?

G: Yes. I wanted to ask you this: Was what you did to McLaughlin
necessary?

D: We did what we were paid to do. Pestilence and I didn't act to
spare people's sentiments. We made sure he welcomed death for his
crimes. Some would call it overboard. Gunner saw it as fitting end to
the bastard.

G: And how does Pestilence see it?

D: Pestilence expressed no concerns with what he did.

G: None?

D: No. And frankly, if we had more time on the night on question, we
would have made it last as long as we could have possibly made it last.
He deserved that much.

G: Why? What did he ever do to you or Pestilence?

D: He lived.

[Death walked out of the house at this point leaving a stunned Geiger
still sitting at the table.]

G (whispered): I wish Midnight was here. I could use his pale God
about right now.
+++++ end transmission

I witnessed the same brutal killing that Geiger did. While it gave me
nightmares, I didn't think of the significance of what Death and
Pestilence did, before War beheaded the victim. I didn't think it
disturbed Geiger. Knowing that it did, makes that whole sequence even
worse. I wonder if I shall sleep easy ever again? ]<<<<<
