>>>>>[Anyone heading for Tokyo?

From what I heard, some real nasty bullshit went down on the outskirts of
the big TKY. Seems that a real, real good sensei, who I know was in close
with the central gumi, got the close-shaved treatment from someone. Not
only him, but two of his top students got a gutfull of blade too.

Listen up, the guy who did this, I mean... ugly, and no remorse. Ya know
how he got into the damn dojo? Cut off the head and the hands from two
guards outside, and used 'em on pattern/retinal scanners. Real bloody shit.
Somehow, he got through the voice unit without a hassle, which I find real
fuckin' strange.

Anyways, they found the sensei without a head, one student slumped on his
own entrails, and the other sliced down from neck to about mid-torso,
front-to-back. Fuckin' strong, fuckin' quick. So ya knows, out comes the
5-0, and, of course, the yaks are on a shadow rampage on their own, ya know.

So hell, I'm me, right? I gets calls from my contacts in the syndicate.

"Haze, we would need you for a manhunt."

"Haze, we need something done quick, and clean."

They wanted that assasin dead, and they were ready to hire outside help for
that one.

So, you know, I get ready for Tokyo.

Then, shit. Nothing. "Sorry Haze-san, the deal is off". I get a token
amount for my troubles, and I get blown off.

That's bullshit, so I check my feelers. Nothing. They're right. Police
stopped the investigation, for reasons unknown. Check my yak peeps.
Nothing. Called off the dogs, just like the hit ('cause it looks like a
damn hit) never fuckin' happened.

So either they got their man real fuckin' early (not likely), or there's
some deep shit going on there. And I want to know what.]<<<<<

>>>>>[You know, these days most hand/retina scanners check to make sure the
hand or eye they're being presented with is actually alive: they check for
body temperature, pulse, etc. One too many runners must've tried the "cut
off the hand" trick. So either the intruder was able to get the hands/heads
to the scaners while the blood was still pumping, or that dojo was still
using el-cheapo security, or someone's feeding you false info, Haze.

Or, the cutting off the hand/head bit was just a decoy. Maybe it was done
by someone who was authorized to be there: he gets the guards to let him in
(explains how he got past the voice scanner) and *then* cuts them up (or has
someone outside do it) to make it looked like a forced entry. Real cold.

Those yak family squabbles can get messy, huh?]<<<<<
