>>>>>[ Hey, Shadowfriends...retrieved _another_ neat little video
piece, from one of my "pets", this morning. Thought you all might
like to see it. Looks like THE Nex ain't the _only_ gore-monger,
around these parts, as of late! *smirk*

Gimme a minute...uh,...ho-kay...here...we...uh...GO! Enjoy!

+++++ INCLUDE VIDEO drone.vid

The opening image is a street, not nearly as crowded as city-dwellers
are used to, nor does the gleam of metal seem to shine as brightly.
The street lights actually cast a pool of yellow radiance, if at peculiar
angles. And, the nightlife seems to be mostly of the unreasonably
drunken variety, marked clearly by the occasional sober individual,
hurrying from one end of his tiny world to the other. And, further
punctuated by the patrols of well-armed pairs in security armor,
steering casually around the reeling stragglers.

The drone which bears the camera maneuvers smoothly along the
rooftops, settling in on one, to observe one of these armored patrols
in detail.

A close-up reveals that the pair are clearly Human, both male, and
both unshaven for at least a day or two; one is brunette, the other a
dish-water blond. Their armor is most likely medium-weight Kevlar,
drawn over fiberglass, and ceramic plates--relatively inexpensive, but
effective--and, the insignia reveal little, though the presence of a CAS
flag with illegible lettering is obvious, among the miscellaneous
patches and pins.

Each carries an assault rifle, with an under-barrel grenade launcher,
and the protrusions of Smartgun targeting systems are present, on
the nearest one. The casual demeanor with which they stroll down
the street is mirrored in their expressions, until a look of alarm--
rapidly followed by outrage--flashes across the blond's face. He
raises his weapon, his partner turns to look, and the camera draws
rapidly back, as the muzzle flashes in three, brief surges.

The wider view reveals the source of the man's consternation--an Ork,
dressed in tailcoat and tophat, is jumping, backward, into the alley.
The drone lifts for a better angle, swinging around, behind the two
men, as the Ork's head pokes clear of the alley, a barrel preceding
it.

Muzzleflash glints twice, as the gun kicks in the Ork's hand, and the
slower of the guardsmen never completes his turn. The first drops to
one knee, and fires again, a shower of brick fragments marking the
burst's impact, as he walks it up the wall. But, the Ork is already
out of sight, again, and the drone is maneuvering to catch both
parties in its field of vision.

As the drone swings around, to capture the Ork pressed against the
wall, the guard who went down stands up. For a moment, the other
man remains focussed on the alley, training his sight carefully at
where the Ork's head must have been, moments ago.

As the fallen guard jerkily stands completely erect, this focus fades,
and the man drops his weapon and begins backing away from his
partner, never quite attaining his feet, as he scrambles back. The
Ork, who's apparently poked his head out, amidst the confusion, fires
twice, and the second man collapses, the spray of blood and bone
chips is evident, as his jaw shatters.

Slowly, the one armored figure still standing walks over to the
alleyway. The drone lifts into the air, widening its focus, to take in
the street activity, as it occurs. Flashing lights are visible in the near
distance, though no figures are to be seen, save the Ork, and the
lumbering guard, who appears to have joined the ranks of the
intoxicated, in the past few moments.

As he reaches the Ork, the Ork places something into yhe guard's
outstretched hands. Then, the Ork disappears into the gloom of the
alleyway. The camera zooms in on the guard, the gaping wound
stretching from his chest, down and across the abdomen, now
clearly visible--easily enough to destroy any ordinary man.

As the camera zooms closer, tightening focus on the guard's hands,
the object amidst the blood, intestines, and other miscellaneous
viscera, is clearly a lump those knowledgeable in demolitions clearly
recognize as C-12, with a detonator plugged rather precariously into
it.

As the camera zooms back, apparently satisfied, it's clear that the
flashing lights have come much closer, and obviously belong to the
squat, motorcycle-like vehicle now approaching.

The guard continues to walk forward, as the motorcycle approaches,
revealing itself to be a Red Ranger, outfitted with a nasty-looking
autocannon, protruding from the rear turret. It pulls up to the scene
of the mayhem, while the ambling guardsman continues to approach
it. The driver pops the door, and the guard lurches forward, releasing
the plastique into the cab.

A flash marks detonation, followed by two more, as the ammunition
and fuel tanks add to the blaze. The camera, shutting flare filters,
zooms out.
