Air-pressure, that is. I have a pretty good contact-type system now,
but...it's still not what I want.]<<<<<

working
by detecting variations in air pressures instead of the standard infra-red,
which can be detected. Check the new Ares sec. catalog. Also, a standard
altimeter or barometer generally works on air pressure, and with some
modifications can be made directional instead of general.]<<<<<

without a vaccuum sensor on it *somewhere*. And, most of them also had
oxygen sensors (lord knows why) in the exhaust system. And, most
aircraft around then had *mechanical* altimiters, operating of ambient
barometric pressure.
If you could find one of these old units around, you could undoubtedly
scrap it for the parts you need. Or, you can buy a reconditioned sensor
from me (it'll cost ya, tho). ]<<<<<
