can't, I'll patch a few items of importance as they come down.
+++++The screen rezs into view, showing Hal Jackson, daytime anchor of CNNI.
Time is 10:44am.
"We are receiving unsubstantiated reports that the city of Warsaw is
under attack by unknown forces. It appears at this time that bombers and
missiles were involved in the attack. We are also receiving rumors that
ground troops and tanks are also involved, but at this time, we cannot
confirm anything. The UCAS officials at the Pentagon appear to have no
statement at this time.
+++++Time is now 11:02am
"We can now confirm that there has been a large scale assault just
outside Warsaw. Based on local reports, a large Maxim Arms factory was
nearly leveled by a combined assault by unknown forces. Fred Mason is live
on the phone in Warsaw."
Hal, from the roof of my hotel I can see where the Maxim factory once was.
It now appears to have taken very heavy damage, and is currently on fire.
You may be able to hear in the background heavy weapons fire still going on.
"Fred, what do we know about what happened?"
Based on what I saw, and what eyewitnesses say, about 10:40 or so, what
looked like stealth aircraft flew overhead and began dropping bombs on the
Maxim factory. Some eyewitnesses claim that they also saw cruise missiles.
We are now...yes, I am now being told that several other buildings within
Warsaw itself have been hit by missiles, and are now burning. I can easily
see the smoke from here.
"For our trid audience, we apologize for having no picture, but
communications out of Warsaw are being constricted. Fred, what about the
rumors of a ground assault?"
I can't confirm that yet, but I've spoken with a number of eyewitnesses who
claim they say tanks and armored personnel carriers at about the same time as
the bombing attack. However, I haven't seen any tanks or APCs driving away
from the Maxim factory yet.
"Fred, do you think you might be able to get any closer?"
I'll should be able to. This is Fred Mason, reporting live from Warsaw.
"Now joining us via satellite is Jaclyn Rivers, our primary corporate
analyst. Tell us, what is going on?"
Hard to tell at this point Hal. Clearly this was an assault on the Maxim
facility, which did production for both their security and military branches.
Exactly why it has been attacked is unsure, however, Maxim has been known to
step on a few toes.
"Might this have to do with the emergency session of the Corporate
Court?"
A strong possibility. Until someone makes a statement, however, we won't
know for sure. No one is really sure why the Court held an emergency session
in the first place.
"We now have Fred Mason back on the phone. What can you tell us now?"
I'm now at the verge of town, within easy view of the Maxim factory. More
than 20 minutes after the attack, the scene is now quiet. What appear to be
heavily armed Maxim soldiers are patrolling the perimeter of the facility,
both on foot and in armored vehicles. There are numerous destroyed tanks and
armored vehicles, all unmarked. There is also an unknown number of dead.
From my rooftop vantage point, it looks like easily hundreds of dead
soldiers. The fires are now out, but smoke still billows up into the late
morning sky. It's an ugly scene Hal. I'm almost glad we can't send
pictures.
"We are being told that Maxim Arms is about to hold a press conference.
We now take you to London."

camera, but no name is given.
+++++Time 11:14am
At precisely 10:41 am, the Maxim production facility outside Warsaw was
attacked without provocation. This facility serviced Maxim Armaments
Technologies, Maxim Arms Systems, and Maxim Security Incorporated.
We do not know who perpetrated this unwarranted attack, but we are bending
all available resources to finding our attackers. A second bombing attack,
shortly after the first, was repulsed with no casualties.
Maxim Arms will be donating whatever funds necessary for the medical bills of
the innocent victims of Warsaw that also suffered form this unjustified
attack.
At this point, we do not know the number of casualties, but we believe they
are light. However, our security forces from Krasnoyarsk have secured the
site to prevent further attacks.
We further wish to reassure our stockholders and our clients that this
outrage will have no affect on the quality of our service, nor will it delay
currently placed orders. That is all for now.
