oddville... Dug up some old obscure late 20th USA government files
while doing so old-fashioned microfiching at a local library (yes,
libraries do still exist, with old librarians and books made of trees).
Seems that the Air Force performed a mock nuclear "accident" at the
Hanford nuclear production plant that released 520 times the radiation
of Three Mile Island into the Pacific Northwest about 110 years ago, a
few years after WWII. And in 1950, the Navy sprayed bacteria on San
Francisco to find how many people a full-scale biological attack would
affect by performing a half-assed bio-dump. One person died and
thousands fell ill with pneumonia-type illnesses. They did the same
thing in a New York subway in 1966, then supposedly in Japan somewhere
in the 90's after a Middle East scare. Neither test has been
de-classified yet.
And you thought the TRIDS had odd espionage plots! God bless
America!]<<<<<
