those Ninjas, and the data we got from Hoechner implicated him. I think
we worried him with the Hoechner raid the other night. He got spooked and
jumped the gun.

I recommend a retributive strike. He's too dangerous to leave free to
keep launching attacks. We're not going to be so lucky next time.

>>>>>[Hi there Griffyn, things are actually going really well here, we
absolutely righteously kicked Akbar's butt and got out with very few
losses, except my company commander got shot in the neck and he's going
to be all right in about a year but until then he's stuck in a
wheelchair so he can't command the armour unit and it turns out I've got
more experience and more time in grade than either Tanner or Chiang so
now _I'm_ the Company commander, which is especially cool because we've
got some serious armour coming out, Mitsubishi Kaminaris and Ares
Athenas, and guess who gets to command them? So I jump not one but two
ranks and now I outrank Daddy, which is sort of funny really, but it's
going to be a really good fight and I think we'll win.

If you get here in the next few weeks I know Daddy would like to have
you with him, we've still got to rescue our POWs and that's the sort of
mission I bet you'd do really well, I mean you wouldn't exactly fit in
as a treadhead or mech inf but you're really really good at specfor-type
strikes which is what that one will be, and I got used to having you
around too and it would be nice to have you around again, so I hope you
_can_ get your problems sorted out.

Tell Easy good luck from me and that if I wasn't so busy I'd come and
help her too.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Agreed, and I have a target in mind. Heihachi runs a very discreet
pleasure palace in Bellevue. Lots of wealthy customers. Security is
constrained by the need to be discreet, and besides they're in
_Bellevue_, people aren't allowed to get shot in Bellevue. It's illegal.

We hit that place, mess it up real good, kill as many guards and
customers as we can see. The joytoys aren't targets, but if they get in
the way of some bad news too bad. Main thing is to grab and wideband his
customer records.

Hits his revenue and drops his rep in the crapper. Also, a lot of his
uptown protection evaporates, Heihachi isn't discreet any more. People
are angry, humiliated, afraid, and it's _his_ fault for not protecting
his data better.

Solo hit: a group will attract too much attention, and I want it to look
business-as-usual here. I can do all that I need to alone. I will need a
distraction, though, something to get their attention before I go in:
Mani, Griffyn, can you handle that? We go in about six hours.

Sounds good?]<<<<<

>>>>>[You two up to go hit a vehicle park tonight?

We may have a leak. Those ninja knew exactly when and where to come in:
they knew the Serenity patrol times, where the sensors were, they knew
_way_ too much to have come in cold. Figure they see and hear just about
everything inside the club.

So I figure most of Heihachi's spare security will be making like
customers and joytoys, waiting for me to stick my head in the trap.
Meanwhile, the three of us take some satchel charges and thermite to
Hoechner Construction's vehicle park and shut them down but good.

If the White House is knee-deep in security tonight, I guess we've got
the leak down to one of under a dozen people.]<<<<<

me.
The hitters had _way_ too much background information to have been coming
in
cold. Even if they had God's own recon, they couldn't have known what they
knew without someone on the inside.

Vehicle park, huh? Sounds good. Reminds me of the days back with my old
friend Freddy, making the Japs lives miserable. How do you feel about
car bombs? With most of Heihachi's muscle at the White House, it'd be
a damn fine time to cull the ranks. They'd never expect it since we've
been showing them the in-your-face up-close-and-personal sides of our
personalities lately. We could make a nice bonfire on the way home from
Hoechner just for fun. Heck, I'd bet that Trax could be set up for this
in a manner of about an hour or so. What do you say? ]<<<<<

U1 - Unidentified Male Voice 1
RN - Roger Nakamura

+++++connect after 4 rings
U1: This is really not going well.

DN: You lied to us!

U1: I told you exactly what was said, okay? The Boss must guess she's
got a rat. She told everyone what she was supposedly gonna to do. You
turned the White House into a fortress, pulled every grunt you could
get in there, closed it for business. Subtle or what? And she and the
Turk and the tiger go blow Hoechner halfway to the Moon.

Now she knows one of the people on that list work for you, meaning
she's a lot closer to me than I like. You pay double now, or I blow
the whole thing to the Boss and pray she spares my life.

DN: I could reveal you too -

U1: Yeah, you could. And then you got nothing, do you?

DN: Your information is less reliable, and yet you wish more pay?

U1: It's my ass on the line. The risks just went right up, now I either
get compensated or I walk away.

DN: I will consider it. So, the feint to the White House was just that?

U1: Maybe not. She might go for it anyway.

DN: She would be insane to attempt it.

U1: This is the Boss...

DN: Yes, of course. It would fit with her warped mind. This is an
enormous inconvenience, though. The White House's customers are
fickle and demanding: and once lost, hard to regain. It costs my
employer money, prestige, influence...

U1: Yeah, well, you should have figured that for a risk when you messed
with the Boss.

DN: You dare to insult me?

U1: Yeah, I do. Your fancy plans aren't working too good. Fine, you
poisoned the fields. But the Chun Paks are meant to have folded by
now, and instead they're holding off Bartolo and eating up turf to
the north, taking it off Xu Ying's mob. I warned you the Boss
wouldn't just go right after Kim, and I was right: now someone else
is propping him up and he's on the comeback trail. She wasn't meant
to realise the charges were built into the system, well, _duh_! How
dumb do you think she is? And I risk my life for you - again -
getting you layout and patrol data so your ninja wannabees can
stumble into her room and get themselves splattered. You ain't
controlling the situation no more, Jack.

<long pause>

DN: I will take what you say under advisement. Meanwhile, continue to
observe. Pass back any obvious leaks, and attempt to learn the truth
of her plans. I will ensure you receive the additional compensation
you demanded.

U1: Look, buddy, I don't tell you how to be an obnoxious Japanese creep,
so don't you tell me how to tell me how to spy on my boss.

House might not be the best target. Walls, gate, stingers, it's designed
to resist party poopers like us.

Like I said... I want those customer records more than I want the place
levelled. And even if we don't touch it for a while, keeping it closed
and tying up his reserves is really going to hurt Heihachi's operation.
He's going to lose some of his influential customers, and that limits
his options.

Last night was entertaining, though. I watched all the newscasts on
Freddy I could get... Frypp and the MAC were heroes in Fort Worth, or at
least my corner of it. I didn't know you were part of that crew.

Did you see the newscasts? I thought pinning it on a Humanis group was a
nice touch... should keep the Star from landing on us too hard for a
while.

Question is, what next? I want to keep him off balance and angry. And a
little scared, if possible. Plus we could use some ready cash. How about
we take down a few of his bagmen? ]<<<<<

MASSACRE, DESTRUCTION AT CONSTRUCTION FIRM
Hoechner Construction of Puyallup was left reeling today after the
destruction of almost every vehicle in its fleet. Armed attackers
entered the secure vehicle park, silently killing all twelve security
guards and three administrative staff, and planted explosive and
incendiary charges that destroyed forty-one pieces of construction
equipment valued at 2.2 million nuyen.

An informed source described the devastation as military in its
precision and execution. "This was a professional operation, carried out
by trained intruders." Speculation as to the culprits continues: Lone
Star refused to comment.

NEW RADICAL HUMANIS GROUP?
Rumours are growing that a new racial-supremacy group is targeting
Metahuman businesses. The group is believed to have been behind the
poisoning of the Wolfe Incorporated farmlands in Tarislar, and now to
have destroyed the construction firm that cleared the land and built
many of the facilities. Sources state that Hoechner Construction is
likely to file for bankrupcy with the loss of 1,200 jobs after the
elimination of almost all their heavy equipment.

Seattle's racial violence levels had fallen in 2058, perhaps as a result
of the upheavals caused by "Thunda" and the law enforcers involved in
his pursuit and apprehension. However, the calm appears to be ending, as
groups on all sides of the race divide resume the cycle of violence.

I would suggest that the opponents of the subject you seem to consider
so important are more than your estimates indicate. I would suggest
therefore that you prepare a team to inhabit the area and monitor the
situation, plant one within the complex if possible. If it turns out
that the Easy Eight is as important to your plans as you maintain, it
may also be prudent to leave the strike team with an "extreme prejudice"
override command. Let them decide when best to involve themselves in
whatever lunatic situation the bitch decides to become involved in.

Oh, one final thing. Since my rather public discussion with Easy, and
her admissions concerning her "acquisitions" I have finished the
research on that subject. You may be amused to find out that the person
you are so desperate to protect is the same person who murdered your
fiancee. Isn't life ironic. That you should expend such effort to
protect the same person who tore apart the body of the only person you
