the birth of my children, though I am very grateful. If you want to come and
see them, we are Seattle General and should be here until Tuesday. The doctors
want me to stay so that they can get more money but say its to make sure that I
am alright after the birthing and complications that caused it. They also want
the children to stay until then to make sure that nothing bad happens, they
worry about infant mortality, it seems this is one of the few cases were when
twins have been born and one of them elves, that the other was not non-viable,
in other words - dead. They say that you can count on one hand the number of
reported cases of this occuring.
As things go, gifts have already start appearing. Claw was one of the first
gifts, he gave the children both necklaces with a panther claw at the end (he
says that it was from a panther that had passed away, and was not killed) to
help ward of danger. Knowing our good friend it probably has something stuck to
it saying "don't even think of messing with them". Sheena gave them each
adorable little kimonos to put for dressing up, they were made with real silk.
Circuit Breaker's gift was set of matching outfits for everyday of the week.
While Nighfox gave them each a what looks like a silver rose with a black stem,
and in the center each rose is a small many pointed star of deep purple
amethyst, I don't know how he got them, but they are simply beautiful.
The most stunning and surprising gift though, showed up today. A courier
arrived with two packages, each addressed to one of the children. The packeges
were from a New York art gallery named 'Destination: Enigma'. I'm not all that
much into the art scene, but I've heard of this place and they consider showing
objects d'arte that are worth under 5 figures. So after carefully unraping
each package we find a golden holographic projector. The title on the first was
"flight of the eagle" and on the second "dance of the dolphins", each
were
signed by "Tia" who Dimitri said is a very respected and much sought after
artist in Tir Tairngire.
The "flight of the eagle" was a display that starts with an eagle perched atop a
high rock cliff, looking over a forested valley with a river roaring over a high
mountain falls and then into a crystalin lake. The eagle, shining in the
sunlight, takes off from the cliff and plunges towards the valley below, were it
stops its descent and skims over the sparkling lake. It continues to fly over
the forest for a bit before it heads straight up towards the great blue sky.
After a while the view changes from the Eagle, to looking back at the whole of
the earth. As the view gets further away a pair of hands can be seen coming up
to hold the earth gently in their grasp.
The "Dance of the dolphins" starts the scene on a quite beach, its twilight and
and the moon is just rising over horizon. The only sound is the gentle washing
of the waves along the moonlight sand. The view then moves over the water and
toward the moon, until a sudden splash breaks the rthym of the tide. A grey
shape passes by and the view turns to show a pod of dolphins flowing along and
leaping out of the water in a graceful water ballet. The focus more on the
smaller dolphin who dives into the silver shadowed blue-green depths and then
rushes towards the surface to leap amazing high in the air. The picture then
stills and the picture becomes an artfully done water-coloring of a the leaping
dolphin.
The holograms are really amazing in that something is different about them each
time they are viewed, the clouds in the sky are never the same and the number of
dolphins in the pod changes with each viewing. It just simply spectacular.
The most curious thing though is the person who sent the them. Along with
certificate of authenticity for each was a penned letter that said
Welcome to the World
