>>>>>[Ahoy there! Cap'n Silver here{voice in the background cuts
through-"Cut
the pirate lingo, Silver, and give it to them straight, k?"} Oh, all right.
Well, we on the boat got away...fraggin near didn't, but we did. And here's
what happened from the time the Ambulancers and the Backuppers rode up to the
pier.

I was sittin in my Ocean Commander, waitin for the folks to get back to the d
docks with AJ so we could quit this plex and listenin ta the radio(love them
police and military band radios...). Now, I had come in the night before
runnin under full ECM/ECCM and usin the small, SLOOOOWWWWWW outboard electric
and I set myself up facin out into the harbor for a quick getaway. And it
saved our sorry asses too, but I'll get to that... Well, I knew that the
Plexers had been called up for riot control and given the option to use terminalprejudice
and gas if deemed necessary(Tear and Puke gas!) and that the cops
were ingaged in a search for the ambulance and the Winter car that reported
gettin them to safety. Well, the found the IP cars, one blown up and the other
soakin wet, with three dead cops and the other five injured(burns and broken
bones). Then the ambulance was found not too far down the street, blown to
shreds and still smokin, but with no bodies inside.

Well, the cops then called on the Plexers and their chopper to do a full sweep
of the city and find the "terrorists" who had taken the paramedic crew and the
Boss. Besides, the Winter and NYPD were havin a few minor troubles with thier
computers, I guess(evil grin) And then the terrorist's escape van was found,
destroyed by explosives or gangs, although how a gang took out the terrorists
was unknown, but there were several bodies layin nearby, filled with lead and
dressed in the terrorist uniforms. I did an ID check on them and ain't one of
them was any of the Snipes or the Backuppers-musta been gangs{voice in the
background: yep, they were a go gang that took a liking to our van and had
chopped it down already for parts}.

Well, I heard a couple a bikes approachin from the docks and, paranoia bein
part of the job discription, I fired up the bow gun and waited till I realized
that it was the Backuppers on gang bikes. Quite a surprise, chumms. Collussus
came aboard and but his "Big Gun" aboard(a MMG with underslung grenade launcher
and belted ammo-can you say 'OW'?) and then took off. He was gettin out of NY
on his own, he said. Mirage and Sabre set up for defensive positions after
runnin the bikes off into the harbor. It hurt me right...here... to see all
that metal and engine go into the water... And then Nige started preppin the
warehouse for XLV lift-out. After hearin what I had heard from the radios,
DJ Scott and Hellblast also set-up for defense and Foxey Foxey(sigh...) and
T.C. sat down to rest off some a the drain.

About five minutes later, Foxey Roxey's(sigh...) ally MaxiMillion shows up and
ole Rox(sigh...) gets a LITTLE bit more relaxed. She had been really tense,
worrin about Nex(growl...) I think. Well, just in time for us to see the rentalpull up, I
get a Sensor alarm that we got company. A Plexer Wasp and Yellow-
jacket comin up the docks lookin for terrorists. Max headed off to take care
a one a the buggers(big, toothy grin) but comes streakin back, screamin like
bloodly blue blazes and bein chased by a BIG manifest Air Elemental. Well, one
a Roxey's(sigh...) Fires keeps it occupied while TC called up a City spirit as
an aid ta all them ambulancers.

Well, with the aid of a spirit, they showed up rather quickly as garbage just
moved on its own out of thier way, and Nex(growl...) and Kaneda, armed up,
hauled out of the back of the van. Kaneda takes off toward the warehouse where
they had stored the XLV for a while, and I tried to jam their radios. Tried
bein the operative word, and then all the Plexers in the city and most a the
cops too knew where we were. Well, they started tearin up the concrete with
their guns and even a ripple a unguided rockets did to the rental what we were
goin ta do ta it anyhow(I love an explosion in the late morning). I don't know
why that nutcase Nex(growl...) did it, but he goes out in the wide open space
where there ain't no cover for a LONG ways, puts that huge rifle a his ta his
shoulder, aims, and fires a single shot. Now, in the rush to get it ready, he
forgot to set the fraggin stock correctly and bruised his shoulder, but his
shot was right on target. The Wasp decided to start a-smokin and headed down
towards the docks, away from us. No crash and burn that we could tell, but oh
well(sigh...).

But all I could hear at the time was Nex cursin that he MISSED! Guess he was
shootin at pilot... But there was other folks shootin up a storm and the
choppers were gradually forced to land as they couldn't get above the firing
due to the weather(grin) and so got plinked ta death. About the time the last
one went down(a second Wasp had joined in from the other direction), the
jammin went up from the XLV(Kaneda's got some NICE electro in that baby) and
it lifted right out of the warehouse after everybody belongin aboard got aboard. And with
everybody on Grunt here, I took off too.

I don't know what happened to the XLV, but here's where things got interstin
for those of us on Grunt here, and I'll up-load the Sensory Feed...once I
figure out how ta do it...]<<<<<
