>>>>>[Back again. Hopefully this time, it will all go through for the
final
time. I hope this does, because afterwards, I am just going to go on a
hunting spree to find who made these damn transmitters and make that person
cook for a bit. *mutter*

Anyway, here's the rest of the video (hopefully)

*** Transmission error ***
*** Transmission malfunction -- Transmission aborted ***
(Firewraith kicks the machine hard!)
*** Resuming transmission ***
Bruce *sighs*: Well you've all been wondering what the frag I've been up to
for the past several months or so, . . . *sigh* I guess it's time to get
comfortable, it's going to be a long one. Could I get a drink of something
before I begin.
Blitzkrieg: By all means. Go for it.

Bruce, walks out of the room. He goes down the hallway and fixes himself a
synth-fruit juice drink. Coming back, he sits down, takes a sip of his drink
and sets it down beside him on the floor.

Bruce: Let's see, this all more or less started back when the newspaper had
that little clip about me being hired as an Consultant for MIT&M for reasons
unknown. Ya know, occasionaly the newsnets that the average person reads are
actually worth something. *smiles weakly* Anyway, here goes:

I was hired by MIT&M due to my background to be an expert "finder of lost
objects for the deptartment." I got the side bonus of being able to take a
few things for myself along the way. I got to Boston on the day of that news
article, not particulay thrilled with the fact that I was in the news. At
least they didn't get a picture.

Shadowfox: Yeah gettin my picture taken hasn't been one of my most
favorite things in the world either.
Phoenix (muttering): I can't imagine why....
Karl chuckles politely: I can. . . .
Bruce: Be that as it may, I entered negotiations, and got a contract settled
in 2 days. They must have wanted me bad. I needed the money so I ran.
Before I get too far, I must say, I had no clue until I heard about
Blitzkrieg's arm, that you even thought that I had a clue as to where Rebecca
is. Matter of fact, I talked to her Tuesday before I left. I told her what I
was up to. She was rather vague on what you (points at Shadowfox) were up to
and said that she had no future jobs lined up, but was sort of looking for a
job. I wished her good luck, she wished me the same, and we left it at that.
Shadowfox *sighs sadly*: She never even told me you called. The last time I
saw her was the day after that.
Bruce: I understand your feelings. If I had been aware of what happened, I
would have skipped my job to go help you all out in finding her. I am truly
worried about her. Anyway, from there I went to lovely old Berlin. Was there
for about 5 days. Paid my respects to one of the concentration camps, and dug
through some libraries. From there, I went to London. Come to think about
it, I've seem to be doing a lot of sight seeing on my job for them. Anyway, I
went *surprise* sight seeing for 3 days. Then I did some exploring and
rumming in Scotland and then Wales for 3 weeks each.

After that I went to Greece and immediately went digging. I didn't find what
I was looking for, but trouble did a good job of finding me. I decided that I
don't like it, when people decide that they don't want me outside of a noose
for a hangman. Makes the day most unpleasant.

Shadowfox: I would have to agree with you there.
Blitzkrieg (quitely): I know what it feels like, and would also agree with
you very much.
Firewraith squeezes Blitzkrieg's hand a little.

Bruce smiles briefly. Looks down at his feet, and just sits there for a bit.
Gawk clears his throat loudly. Bruce jumps a bit from the sound of that and
continues his story.

Bruce: Moving right along, time keep on going by and I wasn't getting
anywhere, and I went through Israel, down to Egypt. It's quite lovely down
there.
Gawk (dripping with Sarcasm): I bet.
Karl and Bruce glare at him.
Bruce: It is, but don't take my word for it, go down there yourself, young
one. Sheeesh, I'm old enough to be his father, and he's giving me lip.
Gawk: Why you snotty little breeder...
Shadowfox (interupting): Gawk, he is old enough to be your father. But that
isn't the point. It won't help us any if we can't get along now. So please
be patient.
Gawk (grumbling): At least my father is a decent man, unlike this bastard.
Bruce glares very cooly at Gawk. Gawk doesn't shift under the glare and
returns it fully. Firewraith snaps her fingers loudly which shifts their
glances at her.
Firewraith: Could you save it for some other place. Your glaring is getting
pretty boring.
Gawk: Sorry he isn't exciting enough for you...
Phoenix: Don't finish that thought, or I have a feeling, she'll cook you
alive.
Shadowfox nods in agreement.

Gawk grumbles. . .
Bruce: I was in the middle of an exciting dig, when the news hit that
Blitzkrieg, was in hot water in Germany from stealing the sword and other
things, and that he was there to find me. So I told Karl to look into it.

Karl: As you know, I found out that it was going on, and got them out of
Berlin, as quickly as I could.
Gawk humphs....

Bruce: Anyway, realizing what everybody thought was going on, I tried to get
this meeting arranged. . . once I could get free.
Firewraith: Karl informed me what Bruce wanted to do, and I thought it was a
good idea. So between Karl and I got this meeting going. And here we are.

Shadowfox: This raises a few questions though... mainly was it MIT&M that was
leading us into traps left and right...
Bruce: It wouldn't surprise me. They really hate when people but into their
business. To bad you couldn't have gotten ahold of me through the phone, we
could have saved a lot of time in pain. I'm truly sorry at all the things that
have happened.

Blitzkrieg: Don't dwell on it Bruce. There is no way things could have gone
differently. The paths have already been treaded. Now it's time to move on.
Phoenix: I suppose that depends on what the hell is our next plan.
Blitzkrieg: I don't mean to sound rude or ungrateful, but I am not ready to
charge in S.E. Asia. I think I need some time to get used to things again.
And do lot's of thinking.
Shadowfox: I understand completely. If there's anything I can do for you in
the future, I'll do my best to help out.
Phoenix: Yeah, Blitzkrieg, null sweat. I, for one didn't really expect you to
want to go off on the rest of the job, with out some time, to re-evaluate
things. Your not coming off ungrateful if you want some spare time.
Bruce: Agreed.
WHAT: Aye, you need to get use to that, er your arm. Get some sun in Seattle.
Phoenix (chuckling): What sun in Seattle... Try some place like the CAS if you
want sun.
WHAT blushes faintly. Bruce smiles. A few quiet moments pass....

Shadowfox: That still leaves the question of what to do next.
Bruce: I have a few ideas of what to try, if your willing to hear them out,
but first, I want to ask Firewraith something.
Firewraith: Ask away.
Bruce: I am assuming given all things considered, that you aren't particularly
high on leaving Blitzkrieg.
Firewraith: That is correct. I think I could use the slower pace for a while.
Bruce (smiles warmly): I can relate to that.

He pauses for a bit, and finishes off his juice.
Bruce: Here's my plan for the future. I am going to Washington Dee Cee, to
see if I can find some info for the dig in Egypt. Then I am going back to
Egypt to continue working until the dig is finished. Should be within a month.
Then I will gladly help you out in finding Rebecca.
Phoenix: Do you think it is wise to delay for another month?
Shadowfox: Considering how much contact she made before she disappeared and
the fact that nobody could find any info on her out there, then I suppose
*sigh* it a month can't make things too worse, besides, we are all at the end
of our ropes right now. It gives Blitzkrieg and Firewraith a chance to decide
if they want back in by the time we are ready to go.

Shadowfox watches Bruce for a few moments.
Bruce: I think you shouldn't pay for my bills. On two accounts. Firstly, I
can get you free travel, plus paid for some easy action in Dee Cee plus Egypt.
Secondly, I can get MIT&M to cover travel expenses. *He smirks a bit* Besides
it wouldn't hurt them at all to pay up for some the frag they put you all
through.
Shadowfox: But.... This was my idea. I can't make you go paying for
everything.
Bruce: Shadowfox, look at this way. One, you've been shelling out for an
awful lot doing everything you have been doing. Your bank can't possibly hold
out forever on this, and Rebecca is my ex-wife. I still love her, and don't
want pay for this. I'm not offering to help pay for everyone else's paycheck
to do this, but there is no way in hell, that I wouldn't do this for her.
Besides it time she learned that everytime you get in a fight with someone,
doesn't mean you should run off and hide in some remote part of the world.
Shadowfox: But.... This might cost your job with Mit&M....
Bruce: Highly unlikely. Besides, with my job, I can almost guarantte that
they will overlook the problems in Boston. And I seem to be making enough
under the table money and prestige for them by my findings, that they won't
argue, that I wouldn't need jobs. I have thought this out. Let me help you
Shadowfox.

Shadowfox: I'll never be able to make this up to you, for doing this.
Bruce: Don't sweat it. You helped me the last time something this serious
happened, and you never yelled give me money or anything. It's time to return
the favor.

Shadowfox (quitely): Thanks for everything Bruce.
Bruce: My pleasure. It was fun meeting you all, but I think it is high time
we get the hell out of here.
Phoenix raises an eyebrow.
Bruce: Karl and I were tailed a lot the past few days.
Shadowfox: I'm not surprised. I seem to attract that a lot. Have lots of
unfriendly people that want my head mounted above a fireplace.
Bltizkrieg: Fat chance they'll get that.
WHAT: Aye, that be the truth.

Bruce: Firewraith and Blitzkrieg. Thank you for this opportunity. I hope
things get better for both of you. Take care.
Bruce reaches over and shakes hands with Blitzkrieg and hugs Firewraith.
Bruce: Gawk, could I ask you a question.
Gawk (angerly): Why not...
Bruce: Would you come with us to Washington? Your skills are valued, and I
would like to get on better terms with you than I did today. You know. Take
you out one night with all of us, and get wildly smashed and such.
Gawk: I suppose so. I still could use the money.
Bruce smiles.
Bruce: Take care.
Bruce puts on his jacket. Everybody else, save Blitzkrieg and Firewraith do
the same.
Karl: I am glad to see you mostly on your feet again you two. Take care.
Blitzkrieg: Thanks for everything you've done for us, Bruce and Karl. It was
more than was neccessary.
Bruce: No it wasn't, but let's save that for some other time.
Firewraith nods.
Phoenix: Take care you two.
Firewraith: Take care Phoenix.
WHAT (kisses Firewrait hon the cheek and grins): Look after the old nutter.
(turning to Blitzkrieg, shakes his flesh hand) Don't be doing anything dim,
well until we next meet any'how.
Firewraith: I'll do that...
Blitzkrieg (good naturely): Don't worry WHAT, I'll take extra care, not to get
myself wraithed.
Blitzkrieg: Take care Gawk. Try and be patient. Things do tend to improve.
Gawk: Take good care of our selves.
(It seems to you that he might have directed more weight toward Firewraith,
but she seems to have missed that)
Blitzkrieg: Thanks.
Everybody walks out except for Shadowfox.

Shadowfox: If there is anything I can do for you at all, just give me a call.
Here's your payment for all that you've done (throws to credsticks on the bed)
No they aren't enough to pay for all the damage, but I hope it covers
something of them. Take care.
Blitzkrieg: Actually this is all more than I expected. Take care of yourself
Shadowfox. And please don't go blaming this on yourself. It wouldn't be fair
to do that.
Firewraith: And besides, you have more important things to think about. Be
sure to do your homework, while you are in Washington. It would be wise.
Shadowfox: I'll do that.
Shadowfox smiles warmily at them both. He then hugs them both, and takes his
leave of them.

*** Meanwhile outside the room ****
WHAT: Bruce, could ya do me a favor?
Bruce: Depends on the favor. What's up?
(smiles a little at the pun).
Bruce: Sometime, your going to have to tell me how you got the running name.
WHAT: Aye, I'll do that some night. Anyway, I picked up this sword recently.
I seem to get this err. . .bloody odd feelin when I touch it. Is it errr. . .
magic?
Bruce takes the sword out of the sheath. It's a half-restored Italien
Two-handed sword. He closes his eyes for a bit. And then he opens them abit.
He puts the sword through some motions (you notice he is fairly decent with a
sword).
Bruce: What sort of sensations do you feel when you use the sword?
WHAT: Sort of tingling sensation. . .and an experience some redness in my
hands afterwards.
Bruce hmmmms a little. He reaches over to his weapons, and pull out a knife.
This isn't going to hurt much. He puts the bare blade over WHAT's hand.
Bruce: Make your hand sweatty by flexing it a few times.
WHAT does as he is told.
Right as Bruce takes the knife blade off the skin, Shadowfox emerges.
Bruce looks at WHAT's hand. Well, my son, it would appear that you have a
slight allergy to something like reniassance iron.
WHAT: Is it dangerous?
Bruce laughs: Ahhhhh no. It's just annoying. Don't sweat over it.
Phoenix erupts into laughter and they all head off down the stairs after
gathering their various gear.

**** End Transmission *****

Well that's the end. I'm glad I don't have to fight with another one of these
machines for a bit. Talk to you all later.]<<<<<
