shapeshifer are dead. But you want details don't you. Well here they are.
Raven, SpotOn, Doomsday and myself invaded the apartment building that Gallean
was hiding in. We dressed in concealable body armor which Raven then fashioned
to make it look like we were corpers coming back from the gym. We shoved our
weapons and tools into a couple of large gym bags and drove a "borrowed" car
into the buildings underground parking lot. This was easy since I had broke
into the building's admin computer and made it look like someone had moved into
one of the empty apartments. I then got a false credstick and put all the
necessary security codes on it.
Once we got inside we went over to the elevator and took it up to the lobby.
We then got out and began chatting inanely like we were a bunch of high ranking
wageslaves. I flashed a grin at the guard as we headed over to the main
elevator. He looked at us for a second and then stood up and called us over.
I told everyone to wait for me by the elevator and walked over to the guard.
He remarked that he didn't remember me. I explained that I was the new tenent
and produced my credstick. He checked in his computer and then let us go.
We hopped into the elevator and went up to the fifth floor. Gallean's room
was on the sixth, but be needed to get ready for the attack.
We walked down to my "room" and went in. We all pulled out our battlegear
while Raven fashioned our close back to normal. I jacked into the security
system through the alarm console and prepared some blank recurive camera
routines. I then checked the guards positions in the hall on the sixth floor
and pulled up the pictures on the apartment's telecom. We discussed battle
tactics for a little while and then I activated the camera routines. Next I
disabled the alarm systems and blocked all of Gallean's phones to prevent him
from calling security. Lastly, I deleted all computer files with our pictures
on them. Doomsday was quite insistant on that point.
We walked out into the hallway and went to the fire stairs. We then took them
up to the next floor and fiddled with the door to get it open. I really hate
how they design those doors to open from the outside only. Having opened it
SpotOn stepped out to be surprised by two very surprised guards. It seems to
be that these two were standing in an area of the hall that was not covered by
the security cameras.
SpotOn recovered from the shock first and launched a foot into the first guards
stomach. He fell back and started to double over, but that just gained him an
elbow to the jaw. As he was falling to the ground, SpotOn hit him with a round
kick that sent him flying into the wall. The second guard began to yell into
his headset and drew his pistol and drew a bead on SpotOn. However before he
could fire Raven blasted him with a Stunbolt that knocked him off his feet and
into next week.
Doomsday began to grumble about battle plans being the first causality of
battle while he pushed pass SpotOn and rushed down the hallway, drawing a
silenced Manhunter into each hand. Raven followed him, pulling her magesword
out from under her longcoat. I grabbed SpotOn, who was busy making sure the
guard she had downed was really unconcouis by slamming his head into the ground
with her foot, and we ran after the others while drawing our pistols.
As SpotOn and I turned the first corner we saw Doomsday step across the hallway
opening that leads down to Galleans room firing both pistols several times. A
pained grunting came from down that hall followed by two burst of bullets that
slammed into the wall just behind the area Doomsday had vacated.
Raven came up to the corner and turned to her side. An Earth Elemental
manifested and she ordered him down the hallway. The elemental lumbered into
the hall and began to charge down it. Several yells and lots of full automatic
fire followed. I had just reached the corner, so I looked around to see what
was up. The earth elemental had engulfed one of the guards and was raising a
huge stony hand to slam the second when a bolt of lightning lanced from an
open doorway and struck the elemental. The elemental cracked horribly and
disgored the first guard who fell to the ground and began to crawl for the door.
The second guard slammed his fist into the spirit and it disappated into mist,
revealing a red aura on the man's hand.
Doomsday leaned into the hallway and squeezed off a stream of bullets from his
left hand gun into the physical adept. The adept turned and charged into the
doorway, taking several hits from Doomsday and from my Predator which I had
began to fire.
Raven looked past me and stunbolted the guard on the ground who stopped moving.
She then turned to the side and called her fire elemental into being. The
elemental charged down the hall at her command, and SpotOn ran right behind it.
Doomsday followed them, and I waited for Raven to follow before taking the rear.
The elemental reached the doorway and was received by a lightning bolt, that
did little damage thanks to Raven's shielding. The fiery beast charged into
the room with SpotOn and Doomsday dissappearing after it. Raven charged into
the room a moment later and I followed her. Doomsday was diving into the
kitchen being followed by an Air Elemental. SpotOn was dodging a lightning
bolt fired from a mage who was walking backwards up a staircase that should not
have been there. The Fire Elemental was in deadly battle with a Water Elemental
which was hovering a few meters in front of the mage. The physical adept was
lying infront of the mage with several more bullet wounds in his back.
SpotOn landed and fired several bullets at the mage, but the bounced off a
bullet barrier. I fired a few of my own, having no other target. They too
bounced. Raven fired a Manabolt at the Air Elemental which stopped and turned
back towards us. This worried me, but Doomsday appeared behind the elemental
and hit it with a two handed swing with his monosword. This massive blow sliced
right trough it.
SpotOn hand began to charge the mage, I swear the girl is mad sometimes, and
had pulled out her monowhip to see if the mage's bullet barrier would stop it.
The mage got the point rather quickly and retreated up the stairs and out of
view. Raven ran over to the dueling elementals, but not in time to save her
Fire Elemental. She was able to kill the weakened Water Elemental with one
swipe of her sword. SpotOn had reached the stairs and slammed head first into
an invisible barrier. She tumbled down the stairs and sat dazed for a moment.
Behind me in the corridor, I heard several men yelling "Get back in your rooms
and lock the doors!" Thank God for morbid curiousity. I told Raven and
Doomsday to go after Gallean while SpotOn and I handled the guards. Raven
stepped up to the staircase and knocked down the barrier with her sword.
Doomsday than took the lead with is newly reloaded pistols and charged up the
staircase. I pulled up SpotOn while drawing my katana and dragged her into the
hallway.
