***** INTERNAL: Croaker's log
>>>>>[ Yet another day of this drek. The fun has certainly gone out
of it now that Geiger's gone and Doc has convinced me to hook up with
Legion.

The people we now have to work with. Sigh. At least for a wetworker,
Whirlwind is sharp. He is a far cry better than half the Legion lot.

C: Let me get this straight. Your side-project is more important than
chasing the trail that Legion has set us on?

W: Well, Croaker. Where better to turn the tables on our competition
than hitting them at home? Besides, the research your crew has been
doing has indicated that it would be wise to be in the heart of our
investigation.

C: You avoided the question, Whirlwind. Why is your other task more
important. And, while you are at it, why here? Heart of the matter
doesn't really have that much advantage. Just pick a location where
they cannot respond quickly.

W: Well. Since the risk is high that they expect something, then you
might as well do it from the one place that it will take time to
properly respond and yet is in a location that they wouldn't first look
at. This has the advantage of doing both of those and still providing
us with reasonable matrix locality for your searches.

C: What does your side project have to do with this though?

W: Distraction. One of the people that might help or hurt us is deeply
concerned about this territory. Since we cannot tell at this time
which side of the fence he is truly on, this will give him reason to
either parlay with us or get pissed off at us. If he fails to parlay,
then we have part of our answer.

Besides, Croaker. It's a booming business. Just look at the waves
that Panglobal has been making. And since they weren't present at the
time, it gave us the opening we needed. Instead of us being the new
kid to them, the roles will be reversed.

C: That could be a double edged sword.

W: Perhaps. Then again, there is one other serious player in town
already, and while they aren't happy about us, I think Panglobal would
be their higher target. Who would you go with? A player already
present with much to lose if Panglobal gains dominance, or Panglobal
who has already proved that they want to be number one in whatever
market they are in and will do ANYTHING to get it. I know who I would
choose.

C: Hmm. Interesting. Very creative on Legion's part.

W: And you haven't even met the bastard who is running my
side-project. ]<<<<<
