>>>>>[ OK Tommy, I've got some data for you. I've recced the arrival time
of the sub into DC, and a set of performance specs for the sub. At it's
optimum cruise speed and a b-line course, it should have arrived in DC
4 hours before it did. I've plotted a distribution of most of the possible
places it could have detoured to. If they dropped off Quention and Fung on
land, it could have been anywhere from the CAS border to Philadelphia harbor.
If they were transferred to another ship or a plane, they could be anywhere
on the eastern seaboard by now.

Unfortuantely, that seemed like too big of an area to cover, so I checked
coast guard reports within 5 days of the sub's arrival, and found that a
coast guard vessel picked up a lifeboat distress signal off the southern
Jersey shore. That same vessel has not been heard from since. The timing
works out. I think that Quention used his magical talents to hijack
the ship and continue. It's even more of a possibility if they did suceed
in making another super-soldier, and had him with them. I'd say you should
start your hunt at the vessel's home port, Atlantic City! ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Thank you friend. I'm afraid that it's very possible for them to
have
taken a gene sample of me. There were many times in Omega when a soldier
(apparently DDI trained) literally threw himeself at me with a knife in hand.
Some of them succeeded in drawing blood before I slew them. It is possible
that some soldiers were told to get a sample of my blood at any costs. It is
possible that they sent people to retrieve any items that could possibly
have my blood on them, or bodies that I had struck bare handed, leaving cells
behind. Some of the strange tactics the Omega troops tried to use begin to
make sense under that premise. I appreciate the warning, but I will not let
an imatation of myself get in my way. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ It's likely that Quention will try to return to NY, it did seem to
be
his base of operations for a while. I'll put an ear to the streets and see
if I can find any disturbances at MagnaTech, DDI, or at anthing that bears
resemblance to the name Omega. If he comes back I'll find out. ]<<<<<<

>>>>>[ The Komatsu must be getting impatient. It seems that they have
been
trying to contact some benefactor about a delivery of some kind. Word is that
those Yaks are getting pissed about something. ]<<<<<
-- Big Jake <14:50:03/04-29-54>

>>>>>[ THAT'S IT!!! Tommy, you don't have to follow them, they're headed
for
New York!!! That's what all the Yakuza fuss is about!!!! Quention and co.
sold you to the Yakuza, and then you broke away. The Yaks got angry and
demanded some kind of compensation. While down in Omega, they got some kind of
cell sample from Tommy, allowing Fung to create a replacement. The messy
escape from Omega delayed their delivery of the "replacement" and the Yaks
are getting restless. I'd say that Quention will try to get Fung's latest
invention to the Komatsu clan poste haste. The Komatsu generally don't care
about international law and corporate politics, they just put a brutal end to
their problems. Get to NY Tommy, you know where to meet us. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Consider me on my way. While it appears that you have worked out a
possible scenario based on the scant evidence we have, you are usually
correct. With luck, this hunt will end soon. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I followed the uplink through the "Death Knight's"
hardware after a bit
of creative wiring. I ended up in a system somewhere in Seattle, the trace is
still pending with a more specific location. I didn't want to stay too long,
just get a cursory glance at the place and see what's up.

What I found were more traces of self-altering code running in system. I also
checked a few system logs and noticed that there were periodic bursts of
abnormally high CPU usage, similar to that found in systems inhabited by
MONICA during the crash of '54. When I was there, CPU usage was at normal
levels, but I'm certain that Meyers has been using that system, he's left all
the signs of AI development behind.

Ah, the trace report has just arrived. I have an LTG number and an address.
According to the report, the system is located at <physical address encyrpted>.
I'm not familiar with that address, but I think we'll find our target there.

I haven't heard anything about Fung lately, but the fact that he's being
being guarded by "Death Knights" most likely means that he's hooked up with
Meyers. It's time to wrap up some loose ends. ]<<<<<

it
I suppose, so I can't ask him for the help I need right now. I have the
Double-D's deck, I got PH to briefly check it out and he couldn't detect any
tracking devices, however with IBA busy we lack the expertise to determine
wether or not it will be of any use in tracing Dante. Contact me to set up a
meet so that I can let you have the deck. ]<<<<<
