The colors shift many times before stabalizing, but the image of Doomsday,
DragonEyes, and Highlander are all clear. Highlander is plugged into a computer
link.

*Highlander* Update report, there losing battle to the fire covering the manor.
It would appear though that the state guard is going to respond. From the radio
reports it sounds like they are going to seal of the state.
DragonEyes: Just fragging great.
Doomsday: Hey no worry, man. Dey'll break out. I've been a lot tighter of
scenes.
DragonEyes: I just hope we don't have to rescue them.
*Highlander* Och, by my guess, the only people that they should be expecting
was WHAT, myself, you and maybe that no show rigger of yours.
Doomsday: In which case, 20 highly trained mercs plus Hammer would have wiped
the field with ya. But in either case we only had 6 other people dere. In a
prolonged fight, nobody on our side would have survived. And I know enough of
Nightmare 'n' Shadowfox to know dat dey are aware of it too. 'N' while
Nightmare might want revenge, he is not a foolish one.
*Highlander* State guard has just been called in. They found some bodies. None
of them have been identified yet. And we have an incoming team, in of all
things, Doomsday's car.

Doomday smiles.
DragonEyes: Guess you won't have to replace that. I wonder how they got it out
with nobody noticing.
Doomsday: I guess I forgot ta mention dat it is an All-Terrain Vehicle, and dat
I made sure it was good on da speed and stealth side. (smirks)
DragonEyes: Oh.
*Highlander* It's Shadowfox's team. They are all alive and well.

Shadowfox enters, followed by a very cautions WHAT and Bruce.

Shadowfox: You call this a barn. A burnt out shell would be a better
description. The cops are crawling all over that place. Apparently, Blitzkrieg
and Nightmare haven't lost thier touch at stealth strikes. We actually didn't
have much action. We made a distraction for them by providing some fireworks,
by a missle launcher, but Doomsday, you didn't put much ammo in it. Four
missles don't do a whole lot to a building (DragonEyes winces). On the other
hand. I don't think every merc team that went in came out.
WHAT: Ya fail to mention that we took off before we could check that.
Shadowfox: Like we had a choice, if we delayed it anymore, we would have been
caught by the cops. Not a good option.
Bruce: I must be the only one of us, who until now, hadn't broken any laws
here. I didn't bring in any illegal gear, and didn't buy any. And there you go
-- poof, as soon as I get near Shadowfox (he smiles ruefully) I break laws left
and right. Sheesh.
Shadowfox: At least you aren't going to ring my neck for working with Nightmare.
Bruce: I don't know if I am going to be able to forgive him.
Shadowfox: That's your right not to forgive him. I'm just asking that you don't
kill him on sight.
DragonEyes: Why should he forgive him that? There a bunch of people who went
with us to Germany that won't forgive him for all he has done. What makes Bruce
different?
Shadowfox (sighs sadly): Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Bruce (winces): You didn't have to answer it like that you know.
Shadowfox: Blunt always seemed to be best, except when negotiating a contract.
Doomsday (chuckles): Bruce ya are different from dem. Ya be yourself. And maybe
ya can forgive him, after all, as I recall, if ya had been in his situation,
ya probably would have just geeked the poor bleeder.
Bruce: Death would have been kinder than what I went through.
DragonEyes: No it isn't. At least it wouldn't have been kinder to the people
who love you.
What: And how could ya not think of Diana?
Bruce (winces): But --
DragonEyes grabs Bruce, "Listen, no one may know what she thinks of you, but
she WOULD definitely think a lot less of you, if you just gave up life for the
dead option. I've already lost enough friends. I am counting my blessings that
you aren't amoung the number of dead. I, for one, while not estactic that he
did what he did do -- am grateful that you are alive. You have learned
something that almost no one who lives thier lives in perfect beauty ever
learns. Thier life is false. Yours isn't. You have learned that life doesn't
come because you have this advantage or that one. It comes from how you handle
yourself. Don't throw it away in for a grudge. Maybe Nightmare can find a cure.
Maybe he can't. Only time will tell. But I can gurantee something. That without
him, there will be no cure, because only he knows the specific spell formula he
used. Maybe you could reverse engineer it. But it wouldn't be exactly what he
used. I don't know much about you hermetic types, but I think in this case, it
might be very important."

Bruce sighs and sits down. Shadowfox whispers something to DragonEyes. WHAT
starts to get ready to light another nico-stick, but Doomsday grabs it from
him.

Doomsday: If they are looking for us, the light of a stick might be enough to
give us away. We're not going to be able to stay here and talk.
DragonEyes: I know. I'm just waiting for the rest to show up.
*Highlander* Well they might be a while. Two motorcycles are racing westward
being chased by two cop cars for speeding. Backups look like they will be on
the way. Maybe I can jam the radio signal.
Doomsday and Shadowfox: DON'T!!!
Doomsday: If you jam, dey could trace us. 'n' dat would be bad.

*Highlander* They apparently split up and went off-road. I'm causing a
mild-feedback in there system. Only long enough to let them get far from the
road. The bikers are driving with thier lights off.
Shadowfox: That reminds me to make sure that I never allow WHAT to drive a
vehicle sized for a troll driver. I thought I was going to lose what little
dinner I had.
WHAT: Hey now, I didn't see you go volunteering for the job.
Bruce: (softly) There was a reason for that.
WHAT: WHAT!?!
Shadowfox: It wasn't anything important. (He smiles at Bruce. Then bends down
and hugs him, and whispers something into his ear, Bruce nods half-heartedly,
and then whipsers something back.)
WHAT: It's not my fault you wanted to get some sleep.
Shadowfox: You ever try and lead people through the dark through a lethal
obstacle course with the naked eye. It isn't easy.

A voice floats in: "What... Shadowfox, something isn't easy for you? I thought
everything was easy for my commander."
Shadowfox: Hail Nightmare. Is Blitzkrieg with you?
Nightmare: No. I was hoping he beat me back. We were racing.
DragonEyes: He might be enjoing the bike. It's probably the first time he's
ridden one since Germany.

*Highlander* Och, That's the second time you've done that on me, laddie. What's
your trick.
Nightmare: Shadowfox and I guessed at where all the back-ups areas near here
are. We made sure to find where you put all the cameras on the outside. It
wasn't too hard.
*Highlander* Och, you got me good laddie. How long have you been around?
Shadowfox: Almost a day now. We haven't gotten much sleep since we've been in
country.
Nightmare: But it prepared us fairly for Hammer's little surprise visit.

Nightmare pauses.

Nightmare: Since my half-brother isn't back yet, now's a good time to mention
a few things. He probably doesn't remember the rapings FireWraith gave him
too well. Looking at the report that they did, he was drugged out of his mind.
Hammer was using it as more of a torture on FireWraith to show how much control
she had over her. It was also used to torture me, because I had to watch all of
it. (he sighs) Surprise, surprise, FireWraith went right after him. She didn't
think though. He and all his pals were in fireproof suits, were well prepared
for her. He managed to disrupt her. I managed to do enough enough damage that he
won't be able to beat her that cheaply again, but to do that, I gave up my
chance to kill him. Another thing --
*Highlander* Och, lad, you better sum it up quick, the other bike approaches,
and I am assuming it is Blitzkrieg ridding it.
Nightmare: DragonEyes, when you get back to Denver, you have to do a surgery on
Blitzkrieg. They did few more bad things to him, then the file that you got.
Yes I am aware of the file, I arranged for it to get leaked. I somehow forgot
to bring it in this me -- here's the chip. Scan it later, and you'll understand.

Blitzkrieg enters, he looks around, and smiles. "Sort of like old times. When
do we celebrate."

Highlander jacks out. And leans against DragonEyes, while waiting for the dump
shock to wear off.

Shadowfox: Actually we really need to get out of here.
DragonEyes: I know of another place we can hide out in. (He reaches into his
pocket and pulls out a map.) Another friend of mine, a rat shaman owns it. It's
kind of a dump, but it will fit all of us.
Highlander: Och that sounds good, then in the mid-morning, we can all calmly go
like nothing ever happened.
DragonEyes: Yup. Highlander and I, after things calm down a bit will make
arrangements for the chip. WHAT, Blitzkrieg, Bruce, Shadowfox, Doomsday, and
Nightmare, I thank you all for coming to the meeting. What are all your plans
for the immediate future?
Shadowfox: I think I can safely say, a small four-day vacation will happen for
Nightmare, Doomsday and I.
Doomsday and Nightmare share a smile.
Bruce: I think I'll stick around with you DragonEyes. Then I need to go back to
home for a bit and take care of stuff there.
Blitzkrieg: I'll be going back with you DragonEyes. At least to gather my
things.
WHAT: Err. Well I'm not bloody sure of what I'm going to do. At least I'll find
a decent pint to kick down. Unlike the type of beer ya get down in these
red-neck parts.
Nightmare laughs. "Americans sure don't know good beer."
Doomsday: I know. It's such a shame dat I used ta live here. At least in Europe
they have da good stuff.
Blitzkrieg: Like those scrumpys that slammed you under that table to a dwarf?
Doomsday (smiles broadly): Hey! I enjoyed dose. Dey were damn good!
Shadowfox (laughs): Let's move out.
+++++ Video ends.

The rest of the stuff was pretty inane stuff. We all got to know each other a
little bit better, and I would like to think that Bruce doesn't totally hate
Nightmare anymore. (Though I would suggest that they are not best friends).
Actually most of the chatting was between Doomsday, Shadowfox, WHAT,
Highlander, Bruce, and myself. Nightmare and Blitzkrieg went somewhere to talk.
It looks like the spent the whole 7 hours before we went our seperate ways
talking to each other.

Nightmare, when you read this, thank you for the info. You were wise not to say
it in front of Blitzkrieg. It was some bad stuff. I'll take care of it
immediately tomorrow morning.

For all those who were invitees to the meeting, I thank you again for keeping
it mostly peaceful, for leaving me with a huge clean-up bill to pay, and the
learning experience. Next time I won't be so negative on what metahumans can
accomplish in a racist state. May all you who are traveling have peaceful and
relaxing trips. And to those of you, who are returning to Africia, may the gods
watch over you and protect you on your important task. ]<<<<<
