present a problem. Take a look.
+++++ Begin News Clip +++++
Good evening, this is Charlie Fingers, coming to you with all the news=
that's fit to broadcast, and more than a little that isn't. Earlier this=
evening, Neil Padgham, noted professor of communications at the University=
of Washington and occasional mediator, was found murdered in his University=
office. He was discovered with a black-handled Buck survival knife stuck=
in his voice box, and his tongue had been cut out and was sitting on his de=
sk.
Lone Star had this to say: "We're concerned, naturally. This is the second=
murder using black-handled Buck survivial knives in less than two weeks,=
and both targeted university professors of some repute. We've begun=
talking with university security at all the Seattle universities, community=
colleges, and other educational institutions to get some idea about who=
could be responsible for the murders, if they are in fact connected."
When asked if they were connected, Lone Star would only say that they hadn't=
determined that yet. Of course, this reporter is curious how two=
intellectuals and college professors, killed with the same type of weapon,=
couldn't be connected somehow, but that's just this reporter's rampant curi=
ousity.
In another, unrelated incident, Ms. Melissa Cooper was found poisoned in her=
Bellevue home this evening by her fiancee, Mr. Alan Gerard. Lone Star said=
that when Mr. Gerard returned to his home which he shared with Ms. Cooper,=
he found Ms. Cooper dead next to a completely set table of food. Both=
glasses were filled with wine, but initial forensics reports indicated that=
only Ms. Cooper's glass was poisoned. Mr. Gerard is being held on=
suspicion of murder.

Now, I have to agree with Fingers - the two knife murders have to be=
connected somehow, even if the second is only a copycat of the first. And=
my sources inside the Star indicate that there was magic present at both=
knife murders, and that the magical signatures were nearly identical. =
Coincidence? I think not.]<<<<<
