teams I've
run across, then we'll be in great shape. That's why I've taken the lead
and started to drive the planning forward. I'm not looking to be the
teams' leader, per se. I'm just conducting a professional business
contract with a potentially positive profit margin. Injury cuts into that
profit margin. Death renders profit irrelevant. And given our operational
parameters, we need even more planning than the normal shadowrun; our "guns
blazing" options are limited.

So take any "orders" as only suggestions, at least until we are on site.
Then I will expect the team to trust Irish and myself and simply obey our
"suggestions" without questions asked. That also goes for any situation in
which we are in your favored environment. Xenon, you have command of the
vehicles. Prophet runs the Matrix. The rest of the team, if involved in
those arenas, would do well to follow them. Much as in combat, I think
most of you would do well to listen to myself or Irish.

So Grizzled Old Veteran (Irish), what's your current assessment?]<<<<<

the scouting Prophet, Xenon and Old One are doing, we're going to get a
fair idea of the lay o' the land before we go in. We could use some
additional data on the target's house. Stuff like subterrainian access
(sewers, etc.) and how large the air-ducts are (I doubt we could fit
Xenon in one, but we might get lucky). Also, I'd like Mr. Morningstar
and Kami & Kazi (since they have all the local contacts), to look into
the possability of getting our mangy crew passes and work permits (air
conditoning repair, building inspectors, painters, etc). Grabbing the
target in his home will be harder, but it has a better chance of going
off relatively unnoticed. I'd prefer to keep an open grab in the
streets as a last option. Also, we need to seattle on our means of
escape. I'd like a primary and at least 2 back-ups. More would be even
better (the worst thing that can happen is to find yourself with no
means of getting home). Hopefully, I'll have more ideas when I step off
the Sub.]<<<<<

you came
up with something that you are comfortable with and you can remember than
me assigning one to you. Do what you need to do to handle this. Just
remember that they will need to hold up against airport security.

What sort of cargo would we be taking on for those sea charts? If we are
talking anything larger than what will fit in a shirt pocket, forget it.
Go another route for the charts. See what you can do Xenon.

Good news on the CalFree land charts.

As far as guarding the amphibious plane (if that is our chosen route); I
have someone in the area that can guard the plane. I'm also not sure that
it is necessary for Xenon to pull the actual extraction with us; on the
majority of teams I have been on, the rigger stayed with the vehicle.
Considering that we will need not only a quick escape (and thus won't have
time to sit while the preflight checks are done, let alone starting the
engines) but we will also need you to be in top condition; bullet wounds
are likely to affect your concentration, and since your probably won't be
flying too far off the ground/water, I know you'll need your full faculties.

I would much rather use your talents with drones than have you come in with
the team, in person. The down side is that a large troll is almost always
a welcome help in combat, but I really believe that you would be best
serving the contract by rigging drones and making sure our primary escape
route is ready before we are.

And I have to agree with DS. If possible, Xenon should remain well away
from the actuall extraction. While most riggers that I've worked with
where the hands-on type, there are to many variables, and to much risk
in this run to let our rigger be a target.

As for the extra cargo, I only have three questions, Xenon. A)What is
it (we don't need the extra heat for transporting red-hot goods)? B)How
big is it (things are liable to be a little cramped)? And C)what are we
getting paid to act as courier (we _are_ in this for the money, after
all)?]<<<<<

What about me? Would you want to have me operating remotely as well, similar
to Xenon? Or would you rather have me somewhere else, acting from the inside
as part of the actual team?]<<<<<

Anti-metahuman sentiment is running at an all time high due to a recent
shooting down here and could cause some problems.

Kazi is researching it further but we are both hoping that it will have
calmed down by the time they arrive.

We will bow to the wisdom of Irish and tDS provided the `orders' do not
place the team in jeopardy on the streets of SF. We have a fair amount of
combat experience but our expertise is in our knowledge of this area's
shadows and that is where we will lend our efforts the most, which I would
gather by western standards would make us the Intelligence officers?]<<<<<

But go ahead and see about those passes, but see if you can get them as

hard to get a hold off, but they could make our entry somewhat
easier.]<<<<<

I believe you mentioned something about moving, yes? Given recent events,

Los Angeles itself isn't terribly different from what you could scan from

nightmare, and the magic wars still flare up; I think Spring Break is
