>>>>>[ CD: Commander Drake
SM: Sergent Montoya
MX: Marshal Xavier Qoph

SM: Morning, Bos...er, Marshal Qoph, I didn't see you there, sir.

MX: At ease, Sergent.

SM: Uh, yes sir.

CD: It went well, Monty?

SM: Yes, sir.

CD: Give me a break, Monty. Just because Marshal Qoph is here doesn't
mean I want the proper etiquette. Relax.

SM: Ok, Boss. Yeah, we got a direct hit. If it had been a real bullet,
he'd be pushing up the daisies now. Do we have a good signal?

CD: Sure do. They're tracking it down now. It emitted for 5 seconds
every half hour per design, and we're about to give it the full active
signal.

SM: Well, hell's bells, Boss. I though we'd already got a team on it.

CD: We do. Sir, with your permission.

MX: Of course, Commander.

CD: Martin! Activate it!

Martin(Technician): Yes sir. Signal transmitted. We are recieving
signal in return. Signal is stationary.

MX: How long till we have it triangulated?

CD: With us, a chopper, and a ground unit, maybe a minute.

SM: Tops.

Martin: Chopper 2 has vector. IPHQ has vector. Waiting for Ground 6.
Ground 6 has vector. Triangulating. Location: Fourth and Seneca.
Target is moving slowly, approximately 1.5m/s. Elevation: 84m.

MX: Move on it! Get that sonofabitch!

SM: Belay that order! Display location on map.

MX: What?! You're out of order, Sergent

SM: Sir, I know this city, and that's probably not Lynch.

Martin: Displaying location....

CD: Downtown. Explain yourself, Sergent.

SM: Give me the address, someone.

Martin: Checking.... Metroplex Hall.

SM: Sirs, there's no way Lynch is in Metroplex Hall.

CD: Drek. Monty, get down there and find the tracker.

SM: Yes, sir. Marshal, with your permission.

MX: Go.

CD: I suggest you call Metroplex Hall, sir. Tell them we're coming.
I'll call Lone Star and tell them that the screaming bug they just caught
in the Hall was ours. I wouldn't want them to call in the bomb squad for
a tracking beacon. Oh, Monty!

SM: Boss?

CD: Call me when you find it.

SM: Right.

MX: What went wrong, Commander?

CD: Lynch found the tracker. After all, a stun round doesn't exactly
keep itself secret. We'll know more when we get the tracker from Montoya.

MX: I want him disciplined for countermanding my orders, Commander.

CD: What? Give me a break, Zach. You really wanted to have to explain
to the Governor, plus the UCAS rep and Lone Star what the frag an
InterPol unit was doing breaking into Metroplex Hall armed with SWAT
gear? I certainly don't want to.

MX: That's not the point, Commander.

CD: Zach, I'm not going to do it. If you want him disciplined, you'll
write up the request yourself. You know how I train my agents, even the
ones with the prison histories. I'll talk to him, of course, but his
actions do NOT go in his records as coming from me. And I can fight you,
Zach. You're Seattle Head, and nominally my CO. But Special Branch is
independant and so am I. More importantly, so are my agents. I'd rather
just drop it, though.

MX: Can you assure me that you'll deal with Sergent Montoya?

CD: Absolutely. But not on the record.

MX: Fair enough for now. That's strike one for him.

CD: As you wish. ]<<<<<
