>>>>>[Ms. Velli, I am pleased to inform you that the last of the
transports from Seattle arrived late last night. We have begun the
defueling operations and will have the last of the tritium unloaded by
1600 today. The first two trucks have been melted down as per security
requirements, and the last one will be destroyed upon completion of
defueling.

Using the waste stolen from Shiawase, we have begun to refine out the
plutonium. It appears that we will have enough material for the
completion of 10% more devices than we had originally projected.
Naturally, this will depend on the losses in refining, purifying, and
machining. The beryllium, lithium, and barium neutron shields are
already in construction, as are the detonators.

We are having difficulty with the fuses, however. This is not unusual,
and with the Ares device and specifications, we are overcoming this.

Nominal yeilds per kilogram of tritium is currently projected to be
approximately 15% better than the Ares device, and our designs provide
for devices in the .5k to 50k range.

Delivery mechanisms are fully designed and the first will be tested in
several day.

I will keep you informed.]<<<<<

>>>>>[We might have a problem, Ma'am. It appears that the third
transport from Seattle had a leak. It developed sometime after it left
Seattle, as we checked each transport within 50km of Seattle. It was not
leaking then. I have aleady dispatched covert cleanup teams. MAero is
assessing the length of the trail now, and I will inform you when further
information becomes available.]<<<<<

>>>>>[How did this happen, John. Gangers along the way? We cannot
afford to have anyone connect it to us prior to final testing, which is
weeks, perhaps months away. After that, we will be relatively
untouchable. But not until we have a small stockpile. Aero's LUCIFER
system is operational and tested, and with the relative monopoly we have
on aerospace fighters, we have a decent chance of maintaining ourselves
in a battle should it come to that. While war is good for buisness, this
maxim only applies when it's someone else involved.

Do whatever you need to in order to ensure we are not traced. If that
means LUCIFERing a clean-up team, do it. I'll have the authorization on
your desk and in Aero's mailbox within the hour.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I understand. However, using LUCIFER will be a last resort as it
far too obvious a response. As for why this happened, we do not know as
of yet. The driver and escorts reported no problems with gangers, and
until defueling is complete, we can't check the seals internal to the
transport. We know where the leak was, but we can't verify the cause for
several hours.

The executive transport will have me at the research installation in less
than 3 hours. I'll contact you when I get more information.]<<<<<
