>>>>>[HELLO SEATTLE! God, it's good to be back here... I hope you guys all
missed us terribly... we're back in the saddle once more, and ready to get
down to work.

In order to facilitate this, however, we would like a little bit of update...
what happened in the past week? Any news about MONICA? Anything that we can
get involved in?

Laurissa, are you still hanging around? Do you think that you could get in
touch with me? I'd like to talk to you...

Our trip south was rather interesting... almost something out of a gothic
novel... Widow's old friend had just inheirited a big old plantation house,
and there were stories floating around that it was haunted. Well, she didn't
believe them at first, but then some strange things started happening (spooky
sounds, things moving around by themselves, strange visions, etc etc). So, she
called her old friend Widow, and asked for help... it turned into a treasure
hunt that lead us into the Mississippi River Delta, and all sorts of lovely
things... I enjoyed myself, but I certainly missed Seattle and this place...
It turned out all the strange stuff was caused by a mage who was after the
tresure as well and didn't want anybody else to get it first.

So, give us an update.... we'll be around for a while now...]<<<<<

I'm pretty much doing nothing, after I got back from Chicago, but I got a
couple of runs coming down soon, anyway. That's about all that's going on,
sorry to tell you, except for the fact that some people are dead and some are
missing. Oh, and the Pope died, that's kindof interesting...but I'm sure you
figured that one out already, what with the media coverage of the thing (how
many times do we have to see the guy pull his gun?)]<<<<<

The whole team is ready to help... Lauri is a good friend of ours, and we

can't... why didn't she ask us for help?

If I had been here, if WE had been here, we might have been able to do
SOMETHING.

So don't tell me its out of my jurisdiction... just about the whole net is at
my fingertips, and if I can use my resources to help my friends out, then I am
going to do that. I don't care what you say, I want to do SOMETHING. Even if I
find out that there really ISN'T anything I can do, at least I'll have tried.
I am not going to give up before then.

Necromancer, where have you been looking, and how can I help... if we have
more than one person working on this, we might find something that much
sooner. I don't know enough about this, so please give me a lead to follow...
I would really appreciate it...]<<<<<

200 seasoned mercs? I don't think so. I didn't see a matrix uplink in the

>>>>>[Durandal, you are a true bastard... why would you think that my
motices
for helping out Lauri were anything but friendship? Nothing ever happened
between us, and that's fine by me, but don't go telling me what my motives
are. I'm not into martyrdom. I'm not about to try pulling her out of wherever
she is. I may be young, but I ain't stupid. Really.

What I do want to know is WHY Mrs. McClure was killed. I want to work on the
problem from this end, not try to be a hero. I am not going to let up, unless
it really turns out that there isn't anything I can do.

Lauri was a member of our team, for however short a time that was, and was a
friend. I stand by my friends. If you'll recall, I went to help out a friend
of Widow's last week, even though I didn't know them personally. Widow needed
all of our help, and we gave it. I had respect for you, Durandal, but that is
rapidly deteriorating. It seems to me that your motives for warning me off are
a little suspect themselves... I'm not saying any more, but that's what I
think...

Oh, and another thing... what are you doing back with Ares? I thought you had
left them chummer? If I recall, we went in there to destroy your on-file
trissue sample. What was the point of doing that if you just went back to
them? I really don't get it. I really don't get you at all, Durandal. Not at
all. Stop telling me what to do with my time, and you just sit in your little
fortress, surrounded by your milspec friends and shout orders. I ain't hering
them. I'm Shadows born and bred, and have little respect for people like you.
Don't aggravate a bad situation. I don't want to hurt Lauri any more than you
do.]<<<<<
