>>>>>[ Solariel, what is this bull-Drek about you on the Council of Princes
but
not having a vote. If your on the Council you have a vote, although some like
Blake, Garth, Larry and "Rex" never really have much to say, openly. It is not
unheard of for bystanders in good stead to sit and watch the council on open
sessions, and some even are allowed to watch on the not so important closed
sections. But to say that this means that you are ON the council but have no
vote is self-aggrandizement, and a base form braggery to those who do not know
Tir politics. Do not think to try and fool me though Solariel for I know more
than almost anyone of my "Social" rank about the council. As to who I am,
Solariel, I will not tell as of yet, I will let you wonder.

Now would some one clue me in on what this Baby Dragon Incident that Solariel
mentioned is, I do love court gossip, and to get one ahead of people would be
very nice.

Oh, Solariel, I will see you at the games. And I will get that which I try
for. I do not doubt my abilities neither mental nor physical. And it is
Dimitri, not Dmitri if you please.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Dimitri -- you apparently know as much of Tir Tairnguire politics
as I do of, say, the mating habits of deep-sea vent tube-worms. To
explain in brief what you should have learned by age six:

There is the Ruling Council/High Council -- what, ten? Eleven Princes?
And, of course, Lugh Surehand, the High Prince. THEY are the true power
in the Tir. All national policy is effectively decided by this board,
most (if not all) major laws are passed by these humanoids.

There is the Council of Princes -- in Tir Tairnguire, there are
somewhere in the realm of 200 'Princes' of the land, and they have their
own Council in which they get together and curse over what's been
happening. Suggestions that pass this general council are forwarded to
the High Council, which will take them into consideration. These are
those persons of 'Royal' rank.

There are those of Ducal rank -- I, myself, am a Duke, merely because
being a Prince would have been inconvenient at the time. I intend on
pressing for Royal ranking in the Rituals in '57 -- merely because I can
do so, and because certain persons could use some impressing. The Dukes
are many.

There are other rankings below Ducal -- I do not recall them offhand.
Prince Solariel is of Royal ranking, and will always remain so, so far
as the Council of Princes is concerned -- he will always have a seat on
said board. If, by some twist of fate, he participates in the Rites in,
say, '57 or any other year, and loses his Royal ranking, he will .still.
have a seat on the Council of Princes -- but he will have no official
vote. He will be able to speak, to advise, but he will not be able to
cast his opinion in the form of a ballot.

Now, Dimitri -- do you understand? For 'knowing more than anyone of my
social rank' you know remarkably little. You are ill-taught, poorly
mannered, and you have the tact of a CAS Stonewall. If you care to find
out about 'the Baby Dragon Incident', well -- go speak with Ouroboros --
he is currently working on Solariel's admittedly well-crafted armor.

Oh, and Dimitri? You aren't of .any. rank yet, eh? Not until you pass
your first Rite....]<<<<<
