"...and here we are on the corner of one of the streets of the place that is
fast becoming the most violent spot in North America!" Michael Novacek is in
fine form this evening, light from the declining sun setting off his suit and
hairdo. "The number of fatalities in the metahuman community here has crossed
into the triple digits as a wave of racially-motivated terrorism has swept
the region. Lone Star appears to be _outgunned_ in their efforts to stem the
tide, and the _heavy_ _artillery_ has been invited in by the government!"
The camera pans around to reveal what appears to be a crime scene, corridoned
off by yellow police tape and guarded by armored troops bearing the distinctive
Interpol flash. The size of their weapons and the profusion of armored
vehicles visible in the background indicates they mean business. "As you can
see behind me," Michael continues, "Interpol has sent in reinforcements to
try to quell the increasing racial unrest. We're told that the scene going on
here is a crime scene involving several dead members of the anti-metahuman
activist group Children of Thunda, though we can't tell for _sure_ because of
the somewhat heavy-handed attempts of Interpol to keep the crime-scene
pristine."
The camera returns to Michael, zooming back slightly to show just how much
urban rot is infesting the locale of the broadcast. "Our sources inform us
that the unrest going on here has attracted the interest of several major
corporations, meaning that 'aid' on both sides of the law may be on its way
to this already unstable area. Hayashi Corporation has already established
humanitarian donations of supplies to Haven, the well-known neutral zone and
meta-human haven many fear will become the focus of the violence; other
private concerns are expected to follow suit."
Michael pauses briefly, cocking his head as though listening to something.
Brightening immensely, he addresses the camera with renewed vigor. "We've
_just_ been told that the investigation going on behind us has confirmed the
_violent_ deaths of six members of the CoT. All six appear to have been
attacked with sharp implements and _beheaded_, and all in possession of
illegal firearms stolen from a local gunshop operated by an ork! Apparently
the number of people who'd rather take the law into their own hands instead
of waiting for the authorities to clean up the streets is rising! We're
still waiting for more details, but we'll be covering the developing situation
as the slum of Redmond continues the descent into racial violence. For now,
back to you Chelsea."

Not much more on the MO, and the usual sources are being more heavily guarded
than I've seen in a while. Sounds like the trash is going to get taken out
bigtime before all this is done with....maybe that might mean you, Abbadon.
