This is Nikki Citizen reporting from Bellevue High School where Mr. David=
Kotter, distinguished advanced English and History teacher was found=
murdered this afternoon by a student of his. The student, coming in to=
play Mr. Kotter chess after sixth period, discovered Mr. Kotter staked to=
his desk. School officials immediately called Lone Star officers. Lone=
Star has determined cause of death to be the three sharp ironwood stakes=
rather than blood loss. One stake was driven through Mr. Kotter's groin,=
another through his heart, and the last through the mouth and back of Mr.=
Kotter's head. The time of death has been determined to be approximately=
1:30 PM this afternoon, during Mr. Kotter's final period planning period. =

the murder.
Mr. Kotter was twice distinguished by his students as the Best Teacher at=
Bellevue High School and was the advisor for Bellevue High's National Honor=
Society. Mr. Kotter is survived by his estranged wife, Mrs. Patricia=
Kotter, who had this to say about her ex-husband:
"He was a good man who always cared about his kids. He was too driven for=
he and I to stay together, but ...."
