>>>>>[ Well, my announcement of my run-time was meant for certain large
scaly
dragon-like ears! Thank you Tirandor, for reacting in exactly the way I
expected! While we announced our start time as 0400, we waited until 0415 to
actually go in. The plan worked like a charm, DDI beat us to the site and
had already blown a nice entry hole into the area. We went in and took down
the DDI troops while they were poking around and trying to figure out where
we were hiding. Anyway, what we found was a part natural, part man-made cavern
under the pile of rubble that used to be MagnaTech's main office. This place
was set up like a full hospital and bio lab! Whoever set it up had gear that
I've never even heard of! The best part was that after a little "convincing"
the DDI team told us where they parked! We enlisted their help in moving
the equipment out of the lab and into the semis they brought. DDI sent in
a whole team of techs (who weren't interested in fighting us). Apparently,
they were prepared to take apart the lab and cart it back to the intrepid.
Well now all that equipment is well hidden until we can analyze the data I
found in the in-house computer and find out just what it was all for.

>>>>>[ Stupid Dragon thought we fragged up by allowing him to know when we
were
going in! We knew what we were doing! It was a risk, but it got us everything
and rubbed the lizard's nose in the dirt too! ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ The tactical end of the job was fun, but I got back to the legwork
this
morning. Word has it that Quention & Trevor had some kind of deal going with
the UCAS DoD for some kind of special project. The DoD decided not to go with
it once they did a cost analysis. Whatever it was must have been too rich for
the army's blood. Afterwards was when they started making acquaintences in the
New York Yakuza. I'll wager that the Yaks picked up the abandoned project.
Quention, who was apparently running the whole show at MagnaTech, at least
behind the scenes, must have been getting funds from the Yakuza during the
takeover. I've also heard some rumors about Trevor siphoning funds from
military R&D, but I can't confirm this. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I've done a little sneaking around the matrix and found an inactive
SAN in the army's system that didn't seem to lead anywhere. I then analyzed
some of the accounting records and found signs that they had been modified
last Novemeber. I'll bet that Trevor was siphoning those funds to Magna, and
provided them with a dataline into the army computers. The SAN I saw probably
has some kind of "gated" dataline that can be connected and disconnected, and
I'll bet that the line goes right into MagnaTech's mainframe. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ One more interesting thing I found out is that the Yakuza stopped
backing Quention in late November, right after the board meeting aboard the
Intrepid. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Well, I have to get cracking on the files from the hidden lab. No
offense Dragon, but I couldn't let you get drek until I knew what was going
on. By the way, how's your cred balance? Thanks for the assist Nightstalker,
you helped DDI confirm what was going down, helping us spring our trap and
scam a way to haul all that equipment! Hmm, I wonder where Tommy Harada is,
he's probably back in New York by now... ]<<<<<
