1: RUFUS as an AI? I couldn't tell you, I haven't actually seen his
persona or dealt with him. Even if I did, I wouldn't neccessarily be able to
tell. Anybody familiar with psychology want to track him down?
Anyway, I decked into the UN Sec Council's logs and found out that
they're already moving on AIs. Seems there have been at least hafl a dozen
sightings of possible Artificial Intelligences in the past year, with sporadic
sightings in the past. The UN hasn't gone public with the data because much
of it is speculative; there's enough evidence to warrant concern but little can
be proven. Anyway, the Sec Council is forming a regulatory committee with its
own enforcement agency to regulate the power of AIs when they become a definite
reality. To use a 20th cent term, every AI is going to need an "electromagnetic
shotgun wired to its brain" that would go off if the AI ever overstepped its
bounds.

2: A man matching Harada's description was wanted for randomly shooting
at the freeway passing UCAS CIA HQ. The man was eventually tracked down and
hunted for three days in the woods, apparently slipping through the iron grasp
of the combined CIA, FBI, State Patrol and a detachment of UCAS Rangers. When
they finally got him, it was after a prolonged battle involving automatic
weapons, grenades, and incendinary devices. Very little of the body was left,
but post-mortem forensic genetic matching came up with only one name: Quention.
The official investigation ends there; apparently Q pulled connections to close
up the case.
One more thing: In the skirmishes leading up to "Harada's" capture,
survivors reported increasingly random, erratic behavior and more desperate
maneuvers. Maybe this guy was a beta release of Harada who went wild and lost
it in the end. Sleep Tight, Dark Elf.

3: Dr. Doom, could you use some of your influence and arrange for any
friends of yours in the entertainment industry to consider me as potential
talent? I've decided to go for it and be an actress, as a possible precursor
to stim. But I don't know anyone there. I've already decked some false
