>>>>>[ C'mon MONICA, mess with us. I'm in a really bad mood and would get
a big kick out of disrupting your self-adjusting text space instructions!
You may be an Intelligence, but you're the pawn of some very dishonorable and
greedy people, some of whom may have wasted one of my best friends. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ The background count you described was interesting Nightstalker.
My
sphere of influence is restricted to elemental fire, so that probably explains
why you could beat the barrier when I failed. I'm curious to see what could
cause all that astral static, it must be something especially nasty that
Tirandor is cooking up in there. On a more depressing note, I heard more about
what happened to Jake. DE, OddBall, you guys aren't going to like it. It
seems that Jake was down at club dedd last week, just wandering around, looking
for useful info. Well the story I heard was that some DrekHead started to pick
a fight with him (usually a dumb move with Jake). They stepped out back to
solve their differences in a civilized fasion (namely Jake was going to pound
the snot out of the guy) when these three mercenary types show up in the alley.
While Jake was busy giving them a lesson in street fighting, two more mercs
dropped nets and narcoject darts on him from the roof. BY waht I heard, it
took about five narcoject hits before he stopped fighting (that dwarf has some
immune system). Anyway, from the descript I got, these guys were serious pros,
probably either CIA or Army Intelligence/Espionage. There's only one person
who could get that kind of team together, Quention! ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ FRAG! I knew it! That corp scum! At least they wanted him alive
for
some reason, He'll probably stay that way until they get what they want.

>>>>>[ Dammit! I knew something like this would happen soon! As for
MONICA,
she's most likely hardware dependant, which makes her base system a perfect
gameboard for Core Wars! The CW activity will require enough of her attention
to slow her down to sitting duck mode. I've been working on upgrading the old
game driver for a full matrix version and I'm just about done. Now we just
need to get into Yoshida Tech, find MONICA's home system, Install it and get
some players! I know DOA will join in, she likes games. DOA, I've gotten to
know Tommy Harada better than just about anyone on the net, and I really hope
you don't turn out to be like him. He fells like he's a thing, a tool, instead
of a real person. He's filled with doubt, he can't know if he's doing things
for his own reasons or if he's been "programmed". He doen't know who he can
trust now that he knows that everyone had been lying to him about his amnesia
all these years. When we get the time, I'll try and concentrate on precision
if you want the help, but maybe it's better if you don't find out, I'd hate to
see you in the same position. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ You sound like you feel sorry for Harada. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ You didn't meet him, didn't talk to him in person. I can't help but
feel sorry for him, especially considering the scum that made him! ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ What we have is some kind of triangle of deceit, with Quention,
Howe,
and Tirandor at the corners. Tommy Harada and RUFUS are caught inside it
and so are the rest of us. Behind this whole web, I sense a forboding
presence watching the whole thing from a distance, and calling the shots.
It must be Trevor! It has to be him at the next level of deception! But
what can we learn of him when we've only begun to discover the first level.
Trevor is the key! To know him is to know the secrets behind MagnaTech!
I want to investigate this rise in background count, but I think I already
know what the results will be. There is almost definately a subtle increase
in the background counts surrounding all the major players in this game,
meaning that something big is coming to a boil, and we're helpless to stop it.
I suspect that General Trevor is surrounded by astral static, wherever he is.
Who knows how many people he's killed with his hands and at his command for
this whole scheme. You can believe one thing that Lincoln Howe has said, we
really had no idea what we were getting into when this mess started. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ My friend, truer words were never spoken. I think Jake is in more
trouble than we thought. We can't help him until we know more. For now, let's
concentrate on RUFUS, anyone for Core Wars, let me know if you want to play, or
if you want to help with RUFUS when we do. Again, contact us RUFUS, we can be
there if you need us, I pledge my DataSword V4.7 on it. ]<<<<<
