Yoshida did both his undergraduate and graduate work at MIT&T.
Yoshida is credited with developing the prototypes for the first
cybernetic memory chip and with co-developing the encephalon.

Following the commercial success of the memory chip, Yoshida began
Yoshida Tech. Research continued on several aspects of cybernetic
technologies. By the time Joseph reached the age of 35, Yoshida Tech
was listed as one of the top 50 corporations in the country.
Profits have always remained steady, although YT has not been a
particularily aggressive company.

Little is known of Joseph's brother. Joseph was 24 and still in
college when Mark disappeared. Rumors abound that Mark goblinized
and left the family to save face, but this cannot be confirmed.

Joseph runs his corporation differently than most. Approximately
1/2 is under his direct control, while the other 1/2 is under
control is his vice-president and good friend Lincoln Howe. Joseph
personally owns 38% of YT's stock. Howe holds about 15% while the
remaining is held publically. Dividends on YT's stock have been
moderate, but solid for the past 20 years.

Yoshida's personal interests include fishing and mountain
climbing. He has a large home in the Sierra-Nevada mountains and
spends a great deal of time there. He also has contributed a good
deal of his personal fortune to various political and social
organizations around Seattle, most notably the Organization for
Metahuman Rights (OMR) and the Seattle League for Orphans. He is
also a great admirer of the arts, with particular interest in the
Opera.

Yoshida Tech has one of the most open hiring policies of any Seattle
corporation, especially with regard to race.

Howe completed schooling at Texas A&M on an ROTC scholarship. After
spending six years in the military, he resigned his commission to
enter the private sector.

Howe worked on several projects before becomming Yoshida Tech's second
in command, including the GR64 Advanced Tactical Computer. Long an
advocate of researching artifical intelligence, Howe has pushed several
of his divisons in that direction, but admits little success as of yet.

Howe's personal interests include painting and music (he is an
excellent player of the piano). He is married and has two children,
both girls.
