Frist:
ANYONE who is in any way going to be engage MONICA, have a
person in the real world standing shotgun to pull your plug. You
cannot rely on your own abilities against something as evil as
this.
Second:
DO NOT engage any of MONICA's smart-frames Every time you do, they
learn a little bit more about how to defend themselves. If you must
spy, send in hordes of viral dumb frames. Also, make sure that all
data is dumped both some kind of removable storage device AND to
hard copy. If you get fragged like Splut did, we can at least try
to use the data to our advantage.
Third:
I am including a copy of a GNU-Shield 6. I have modified the code
substantially, though. All users of this code are linked
together. Any time this program is crashed, a special expert
system analyzes the attack, make certain tweaks to the code, and
sends out an improved version to all users. I hope that by using
this, the shield will stay on par with MONICA's attacks. The only
drawback is that for an upgrade to occur, the program must crash,
and some lives may be lost in getting the upgradable data. At the
very least it will function as a Shield 6. I am also working on
an Attack 6 version, but it may be at least 48 hours before I can
get it up.

Fourth:
Expect the links between the Seattle Matrix and the outside world
to collapse soon. Either MONICA will seal them off to prevent
RUFUS from escaping, or she will place HEAVY guards on them to
monitor all traffic. For those of you who are up to your necks in
this, I would seriously recommend getting your physical butt to
Seattle. Dark Elf, I have an SST on standby to fly you out to
Seattle. I can have you here jacked in locally within four hours.
Fifth:
If anyone happens to catch site of CEROK anywhere, do everything
you possibly can to seal him off from MONICA. We may be able to
use him as a back door into her central memory or CPU. At the very
least, we can try to learn something about what we are dealing
with.
Sixth:
If anyone finds RUFUS, talk to him. Get him as far away from
MONICA as you can and SEAL HIM UP. He won't like it, but we have
to get him physically seperated from the system or we will be in
very serious trouble, espicially if MONICA appropriates RUFUS.
Seven:
Use dumb frames. Oodles of them. According to Splut, the
smart-frames that MONICA sent out all consisted of a one-shot
Poison 6 staged to deadly. Obviously that will crash any frame
you might send out, but as MONICA's soldiers all are one shot, they
will be useless after. Expect MONICA to quickly adapt though, but
it might slow her.

This is war. We need to take careful and planned steps or we will
continue to lose ground. Every time we engage MONICA we lose
ground, so we must make sure that each engagement has a purpose.
I remember the crash of '29. We are facing that again. This time,
at least, we have some really good people to fight with.]<<<<<
