Detroit (AP): In another area of Detroit later last night and throughout
most of the day, the Ares America Detroit Headquarters and Research
Facilities erupted into chaos as a virus wreaked havoc upon the Grounds
Computer System, infecting almost all computer-affected areas on the grounds,
includeing building operations, security measures, transportation,
maintenance, communications, and sanitation. Ares data consultants were
unable to contain the virus, saying that it either eluded them or dumped them
before they had a chance to fully diagnose the problem. "It was a fr*gging
work of art, man," said Ares Consultant Assistant Dennis Miller. "Every time
we got close to it, it'd spot us and either run off, or it'd pull all kinds of
crazy dr*k on us before dumping us off the system. If I ever meet the crazy
dr*kheads who made this thing, I don't know if I'll punch their lights out or
shake their hands." Ares maintains that the virus was deliberately planted
last night to go off at 11:30, and run continuously until shut down. The virus
shut down as inexplicably as it appeared, shortly after Damien Knight
resurfaced from his short disappearance the night before. Ares spokesmen
againoffered no comments, saying that they were investigatng the source of the
virus. "We won't give up until we find the sabateur," said spokesman
Michael Ripley. "We are going to show that this sort of chaos will not be
tolerated by Ares Macrotech."
