artificially and, as much as I hate to say it, IT'S NOT REAL. Your brain,
your soul is still where your body is, as the deck projects sensory input
into your brain. The only way a dead decker can become a ghost in the machine
is by writing code that mimics him, and even then, it's not him anymore. This
reminds me of the Godnet story on an episode of Donna Hue where some corp
had set up a filtered system that basically looked like Heavan, or at least
their ide of it. The problem was that people kept hooking up permanently
and a few had near-death experiences as a result and got a glimpse of whatever
actually IS on the other side. Don't fool yourself; there are no ghosts in
